The building shook from the gun blast…it wasn't the first time John Kennex could feel it shake and he knew damn well that it wasn't going to be the last time. Detective Stahl was dead…Captain Maldonado was lying in a blood of blood barely clinging to life or she was dead…he really didn't know. Rudy was…he didn't know…the MX's were trying to fight the ten or so gunman with no luck at all. The station was under a severe attack and he didn't know why. There was barely any light where he was…he didn't what or who was coming or going...

"John!" he heard whispered loudly…

It sounded like Dorian…but he didn't know for sure. He hadn't seen Dorian in what seemed like hours.

"John!" he heard again a little louder.

John peaked from behind the desk that that he was situated behind and in the darkness he saw blue disco lights.

"Dorian!" he whispered loudly, "Over here!"

Dorian quickly made his way over to John, he hid alongside him when he started to hear a few men having a conversation. The men were planning to set a fire to the building to get what they wanted…

"They want information," Dorian whispered to John. "Case files…about a murder from years ago."

John and Dorian suddenly heard a scream and another gunshot blast…they didn't know if they were the only ones alive still. Light suddenly filled the room….

"Detective Kennex?" one of the gunmen said. "Are you there?"

"John don't..." Dorian said as John started getting up. "Please…"

"I have to…" John said.

John stood up from behind the desk that was overturned. He was now face to face with what seemed to be the main gunman…he looked familiar.

"I'm Detective Kennex," John said shaking a little.

"I know who you are...you put my father away…." the gunman said. "He was innocent…and you KNEW IT!"

"He wasn't," John said. "He killed those people…all of them because they couldn't pay their loans"

John remembered the gunman from the trail years ago…his father was in the loan sharking business…promising people that they would be able to make money in real estate. The father would loan them more money than they would ever be able to pay back and in turn he would kill them.

"Well Detective," the gunman said. "I guess that I was wrong…my apologies."

The gunman started to walk away…

"Actually, on second thought" he said. "I wasn't…"

The gunman shot at John hitting in the arm and his real leg…John fell to the floor in pain…he tried to crawl to where Dorian was. The gunman shot him again….hitting his shoulder. John cried out in pain…Dorian was still behind the desk and he could feel his partners' pain. Dorian then hear the gunman leave the room that they were in, he could also see that the building was empty and all of the gunmen had left after breaking into the file room. Dorian didn't know if they were coming back. Dorian stood up and walked over to John.

"John…stay put." Dorian said "You are losing a lot of blood."

"No…" he said weakly trying to crawl. "I can make it…"

Dorian didn't know what to do…his synthetic soul was making him more emotional than he was really used to. He didn't want to lose John…he couldn't lose John.

"I can carry you," Dorian said.

John could have argued but he had no strength left to crawl so fell over on to the floor in pain. Dorian had thought to himself how many times John had been there for him and how many times he had been there for John and he knew what he had to do. He lifted his partner up and put one of John's arms around his shoulders….he was a heavy weight to carry but he was worth it…he was always worth it.

"Come on you big grump," Dorian said slowly walking John out of the station and alerting the hospital at the same time.

John laughed weakly as the ambulance arrived….if he couldn't crawl out of the station he was glad that Dorian was there to carry him.

Hope you liked it!
