Maka lied there in bed, thinking about what Lord Death had told them earlier. A vacation? She didn't need a vacation. She was fine where she was. A cruise did sound nice, though, but she still needed to study for final exams. She couldn't fail! She had always worked hard to exceed her mother's goals. Plus, it was just a waste of money. No one would want to go. She looked up at the ceiling, starting to doze off. "I'm sure they'll all agree," she thought to herself. Then she fell asleep.

The next morning Maka woke up to a rustling sound just out her door. She ignored it and tried to go back to sleep. However, the noise became louder and Maka couldnt take it anymore. She sprang up from the bed, and opened the door. "Soul! Could you please quiet..."

Who she expected to be Soul turned out to be Death the Kid. He was going through her clothes. Maka started blushing when she saw that he was going through all of her clothes.

"Maka chop!" Maka did the thing and Kid lay there in agony. "Kid! What the hell do you think you're doing!?"

Kid said, "Jeez, Maka! Everyone is waiting for you, and since you havent packed, I thought I would use the key Soul gave to me a while ago and come in to pack for you."

"Pack for what?" Maka said.

Death the Kid smiled. "Well, for the cruise, of course."

Maka, Kid, Liz, Patty, Soul, Black Star, and Tsubaki all put their stuff in the car. Maka tried to get them to let her stay. She even made herself throw up! She tried acting sick, faking an injury, but none of them worked. Black Star forced her into the car like a maniac. And then they were off.

Maka wanted to die. Four hours in the car, and she realized she forgot her study materials! She emitted overall a very depressing aura.

"There, there, Maka. You'll be A-okay on the cruise. Just 17 more hours!" Patty said, laughing.

All Maka did was groan. She didn't want to go on this trip. Why was Lord Death so eager for them to go on this trip? It was like he wanted them to leave. Something wasn't right. There was something planned. Something that could mean the end...

She pushed the thought aside. It was just a cruise, after all. What could happen? Besides, it was just for a little while. A week? Yes, a week. That's what Black Star had said, at least. Maybe she would go to the spa. Or...hit the pool. Yeah, that would be nice. She looked at Soul and smiled to herself. You know what, maybe this cruise won't be so bad after all.

Sorry this is so short, it's my first fanfiction. I promise everything will be better in the future.
