Hey! This is my first story so please no mean comments. I really try! So all my little lovelies enjoy this prologue!
The full moon shined down on the lake creating a perfect replica below. It was mostly quiet except for the crickets chirping softly and the lake's tiny waves. It was slighty cold out but that's what to expect of the fall. I didn't bother me I could walk through a blizzard without a coat. The leaves crunched underneath my feet, The leaves muffle the sound of my footsteps. Dark figures move around me all different looking, some short and some tall. I guess I look exactly like them, if a human saw us they would be terrified. We were walking to what we call "the cave." The Cave is where we meet once a month or if we need something personal.
As we walk to the meeting, I see a Victorian house that I never noticed before. In one of the huge windows I see a glowing light of a lantern and a young girl sitting on her bed sobbing holding ice to a huge bruise on her right arm. I continued to look till a woman said " you better start moving. You don't want to be left behind." She then starts walking and I notice that she was right. I was going to be left behind and if I didn't start walking I would be called a rogue for missing a meeting. I look up at the window and the young girl blew out the lantern. I made a mental note to watch later when I have a chance. I don't have a clue why i should but my curiosity was sparked which has always been a problem of mine. i start sprinting after the others but once I caught up I turn around once more and look at the house. The outside is beautiful but who knows what it holds? My curiosity has been sparked and that flame is hard to put out.
i hope you enjoyed the first chapter!
