No one knew Katie Bell cried.

Some said she was too tough. Others claimed she didn't care. The rest just said she was too numb to cry yet.

They didn't get it. She refused to let them see her cry. She'd lost her best friend. They hadn't. They didn't know how she felt.

They didn't think she cried, because she didn't let them know.

She could still remember the day Fred had taught her the trick. The day her parents had gotten divorced. She had been crying, and no one would leave her alone.

Fred tried to comfort her. She looked at him and asked him why he never cried. Even when bed things happened, he was as hard as a rock.

He didn't say anything, just grabbed her hand and pulled her outside. She didn't struggle. She trusted him, her best friend.

He pulled her all the way across the grounds and taught her the trick. After that day, no one knew Katie Bell cried.

And now, years later, Katie watched helplessly as people tried to comfort George. He refused to leave his room, but still people came and tried to comfort him. Katie could tell he just wanted to be left alone.

Finally, Katie walked into his room and grabbed his arm. He didn't want to get up. She told him she could teach him the trick to crying. He still wouldn't budge. She told him Fred had taught her. He followed her.

She led him outside, into a huge field, ignoring the incredulous stares of the other Weaselys.

She took him outside and told him the same thing his twin had told her all those years ago.

"No one hears you cry when you're on a broomstick."

And after that day, no one knew George cried either.

I am a member of the Kill J K Rowling For Killing Fred Club, and I LOVE FRED! Unfortunately, I don't own him or any of the other characters.
