Regina knew that she should have went with Robin when he said he was simply getting groceries. With everything that was going on in the world, she shouldn't have let him go alone.
She sighed as she stood from the couch and grabbed her coat, heading to the door. She opened it quickly as she stepped outside the house. Looking around quickly she started to walk down the street, avoiding any buildings that were falling over. She tucked her hands in her jacket pockets and looked around for Robin.
She spotted the little store that had supplies in it, she figured that Robin must have gone in there. She walked to the store carefully, watching her surroundings as she went in. What she didn't expect was the store to be dimly lit, candles every few feet were lit.
She lifted a brow as she walked, unsure of what to make of the situation. She followed the candle trail to what appeared to be a small picnic like set up. She looked around, spotting Robin at the center of it.
"Robin?" she asked carefully.
Robin turned around and smiled at her. "Regina." He said brightly.
"Robin, what's going on?" she asked in some sort of confusion. Although part of her knew, hoped that it was what she thought it was.
"I thought, seeing as we're stuck in this world together I thought we could make the most of it." He started as she smiled at her.
Regina smiled. "What did you have in mind?" she asked him.
Robin smiled. "I thought a nice romantic picnic might have been a good idea." He said smiling. "Roland and Henry both helped me set it up."
Regina smiled at the boys' names. "Those two." She said with a small chuckle.
Robin smiled sheepishly. "They helped me pick out your favourites." He said looking down at the food spread on the blanket.
Regina smiled softly.
Robin walked over to her, taking her hand in his as he led her to the blanket. Regina followed him and sat down with him on the blanket.
Robin smiled at her before handing her one of the two glasses of wine.
Regina took the glass in her hand, as she watched Robin.
Robin lifted his glass; "To us." He said softly. "To being strong even in the worst of situations."
Regina smiled softly and lifted her own glass. "To us." She repeated softly with a smile. Never had she thought she'd be lucky enough to find someone to love, after Daniel.
Robin clinked his glass with hers, before the two took sips from the glass.
Robin out his glass down and took Regina's hand in his. "Regina can I ask you something?"
Regina looked at him and nodded. "Anything Robin."
Robin nodded slowly, as his hand reached for his pocket. "Regina Mills," he started slowly. "Will you marry me?" he asked her.
Regina looked at him, a smile on her face as she nodded. "Yes Robin." She said nodding. "Yes."
Robin smiled as he placed the silver band on her finger. He leaned in and kissed her.
Regina smiled and kissed him.
"I love you Regina."
"I love you too Robin."
