Love in the Time of Chaos

Madge undersee ran from her house to the woods with a sigh. Tears threatened to escape her eyes. Katniss was going into the games. Again. She found the gap in the fence and checked for electricity. She was relieved to find there wasn't any and entered. Relaxing slightly.
She walked through the woods until she came to a certain tree. She stopped to take out a bow and arrows that were placed there for her. She collected them and put them in her back before heading to the clearing. Slowly she headed towards it, careful not to be spotted by any planes or helicopters above. She had a little basket filled with berries and other food with her. He hair flowed behind her in the breeze. She sighed before climbing sitting on a branch to take a break. She opened her basket slightly to take a few berries out before closing it again.
"Hey" she heard a voice she knew call from the tree tops. A weak smile escaped her lips at the sound of his voice and she blushed, putting her head down so he didn't see for a second. Gale jumped down next to her and landed on the branch next to her. She looked into his grey eyes and bit her lip slightly. He really was handsome, it was all she could think.
"You saw the announcement didn't you." She whispered with a small tear trickling down her check. Gale gently put out his hand and wiped her tear in a stroking movement. She leaned gently into him. She picked up the basket and wordlessly opened it and offered him the treats inside. He took one and ate messily before speaking.
"Yeah I did." He said sadly with crumbs all over his face. Madge giggled slightly. "It's unfair, unjust and just another tool... what you laughing at?" He asked as she took out a cloth and wiped his mouth. "Thanks for the food by the way." He said leaning closer with a smile. Madge turned slightly red and tried to hide it but didn't succeed. She moved closer just as the branch snapped, sending the two of them falling the small way to the floor. The basket landed right side up with only a few berries and a pie lost. Madge landed on top with a thud.
"S..Sorry" she said, putting a lose stand of hair behind her ear. The two of them sat up gently. They leaned up against the tree and let out a small laugh. It seemed odd with everything that was happening but in this place they seemed free. They stopped suddenly and looked deep into each other's eyes. They both began to lean in close.
"I love you gale." She admitted quietly. She looked deep into his eyes and saw almost a new universe in them. She gently bit her lip and smiled.
"I love you too." Gale replied leaning closer as they kissed passionately, for what seemed like hours nothing else in the world seemed to exist. The games, the capital, the laws. Nothing, they parted gently and both opened there eyes.
"When shall we tell Katniss." Madge asked quietly.
"We will wait till she gets back." He said as Madge lent on his shoulder with a small smile.
