The Story of Sonic Until He/She/It Became Infamous for Failure
Chapter 1: Early childhood
Sonic's birth took place in 1972, when a strange looking thing apparently meant to be a hedgehog discovered she was pregnant. 'Must have happened when I met that blue hedgehog,' she thought. Then she gave birth and saw the strange, not-so-adorable blue baby hedgehog and said to herself,' Well, I suppose accidents do happen' and abandoned the horrible pile of blue spikes that she had just created.
You would have thought that Sonic would have died without someone to feed he/she/it, but Sonic's luck (and our misfortune would have it) that an equally strange hedgehog had experienced a similar thing and felt a feeling of solidarity with he/she/it. Anyway this hedgehog raised Sonic and Sonic was moderately happy, the happiest would ever be.
