A/N: Told you I'd let you know what happened at dinner. And yes, this is becoming a series. I can't help it. This is a sequel to 'Testing a Chemical'. Go read it, or else this might not make sense.

Jekyll walked down to dinner. This was not gonna end well. Dorian Gray was trouble incarnate. Dorian Gray flirting with you meant the end of the world as you knew it. And that had happened earlier. So, not only had he not managed to figure out what that damn chemical was, he had 'romantic' issues as well. Not good.

Walk in the door. Oh no. Where is everybody? Only Dorian Gray was in the room. The table was set for more than two people though.

"Did I mistake the time for dinner?"

"Oh no, Dr. Jekyll. Everyone else is a little late. Please, be seated." Dorian Gray was as infuriatingly sexy and arrogant as ever. Did you mean to think that, Henry? No, Edward. I didn't. Be quiet. But...No.

Jekyll seated himself across from Gray. (To do anything else would've been rude.) They sat in awkward (for Jekyll) silence for a minute. Then Captain Nemo entered.

"I apologize for being late. There were some navigational issues I had to attend to." He bowed.

"Not at all, Captain. I only just got here." Jekyll smiled. THANK GOD HE'S HERE! Uh, Henry? Not a word, Edward. Not one word.

"Well, shall we get started? The others are dining in their rooms, so it falls to us to be social." Captain Nemo smiled back.

Later, Captain Nemo asked Jekyll the question he had been expecting.

"So, Dr. Jekyll, the chemical I sent you. Have you had any luck with it?"

"No. I've got nothing. Later, I intend to see if it's a mixture or compound of chemicals. That might explain it's unusual behavior."

"Yes, I noticed that. Tends to blow up if you test for sulfides."

"Yes indeed. I nearly lost my eyebrows."

"Good thing you sent me out before, then." Oh damn. I hate Dorian Gray! No you don't Henry, you have a crush on him. Edward, I told you to be quiet. And it's none of your business anyway.

Nemo raised an eyebrow.

"Gray came for a social call while I was testing the chemical."

"Of course. Was he any help?" Nemo's eyes had a twinkle to them.

"None at all. He was rather distracting as a matter of fact."

"What would you expect from Dorian Gray?"

"Your point is well made, Captain."

"Please, gentlemen. You make me blush."

"There are things that will make you blush?" Jekyll was incredulous.

"Yes. Surprising, isn't it?"

The three of them bantered throughout the rest of the meal and past dessert. Then Jekyll looked at the time.

"Good gracious, I must be turning in. Otherwise, I will not be able to identify that chemical before we reach Venice." Jekyll rose to leave.

"Oh must you leave? You were just starting to be fun."

"Yes, I must." Oh lord. He did it again. Of course Henry what did you expect? SHUT UP!

"Good night, Dr. Jekyll." Captain Nemo replied.

Jekyll nodded. "Goodnight, gentlemen."

Unbeknownst to Jekyll, Dorian Gray left shortly after he did. And he wasn't headed for his own quarters.

A/N: Yes people. Dorian wants to nail Jekyll. Whether or not he shall succeed, I cannot say. Yet. Reviews are much appreciated, though.
