He stopped her from destroying herself and the world by proving how much he loved her. A few days later, he gave her a crayon and a drawing. Xander had never been able to draw well, not even as a child, but the message was clear. The little, yellow picture of friends holding hands was another reminder that he would always be there for her and a way for her to take a piece of him with her to England. Ever since that day, when things have gotten bad, she's always turned to that picture and to her own hero.
