(Cue camera cut in to Galaxy Star making a fuss.)

G.S.: Ugh! Why can't I find a good match for Kiva?! It shouldn't be that flipping hard! There are a myriad of vamp stuff out there, so it's not that tricky! Hell, Sailor Moon isn't a vampire anime, and yet the author who did a crossover there made it work!

(Enter Bunnicula misting through the vent and reforming on her desk.)

Bunnicula: Huh? (looks at the ideas list) Hmm... Aha! (turns to the computer and starts typing, going quickly before finishing and talking in his gibberish) There! That should do it! (He looks at Galaxy and whistles.)

G.S.: Huh? Oh, hey Bun. What's up?

Bunnicula: (in his gibberish) I think I found a solution to your conundrum. (points to the computer)

G.S.: (looks at the screen and gasps before smiling) Bunnicula, you're a genius. I have no idea why I didn't think of it before. Vladimir Tod and Kamen Rider mixed together? Ha! That's just BEGGING for a crossover! Man, I owe ya big time! (holds up a hand)

(Bunnicula pops his paw off and high fives her before his hand lands on his wrist.)

Bunnicula: Be no thang.

G.S.: That only makes me wonder what kind of comments I got on the latest chapter of my other crossover. (opens the page and smoke billows out, leaving her in an annoyed state) Hmph. I feel the need to comment on this.

Bunnicula: Uh-oh. (jumps on the bed and sits there)

G.S.: (sighs) Everyone, mainly the critics, look. I'm doing the freaking best that I can to NOT make Ellie a Mary Sue! Sure you can say that, but honestly I feel I'm doing better with the Gaim/Samurai crossover than anything! If you don't like it, that's on you. But don't make me send Bunnicula to your coffee mugs! Capiche?!

(Bunnicula snickers evilly.)

G.S.:But if you wish, I will try to make Ellie more of a relatable character in future chapters. Okay? Okay. Now that that's settled, let's get this train wreck a-rolling. (pulls out a mega sized carrot) Do the honor of draining the opening carrot?

Bunnicula: (eyes sparkle) Uh-huh! (His fangs come out and he bites the carrot, sucking the juice out as Galaxy opens an umbrella with the disclaimers on them.)

Disclaimers: Vesper Shade would be portrayed by Alba Galocha if this were a real thing. I don't own any media shown here, only my own OCs. All rights go to their respective owners.

Monsters... stained glass... a familiar voice that rang out to her...

"Vesper! Time to get up! You don't wanna be late!" A male voice called out to a young girl.

Said girl slowly popped her head out from under the covers of her blankets, her brown eyes looking slightly dull thanks to some bags under her eyes. She threw the covers off her body and got up, heading to the closet and getting changed. Within a few minutes, she had gotten dressed in a dark grey t-shirt with a white crescent moon on it, a pair of black leggings, a dark red skirt, and a pair of black combat boots.

Vesper grabbed the sunscreen, applied two layers on her skin, and then grabbed her favorite hoodie, zipping it up and sighing softly before she pulled back the sleeve on her right arm and looked at the odd tattoo she had: a few slashes and dashes encased in parentheses which was actually her initials in Elysian Code: V.S.(I--I), or Vesper Shade.

Vesper didn't know much about her heritage, only that she was half human and half vampire. From what she knew already, her parents had died when she was at a young age and Vesper had been adopted by a man with an unusual backstory himself: a shy, timid violinist who became what he called a Kamen Rider to fight monsters known as Fangires.

Vesper headed downstairs and saw her adoptive father, Wataru, setting up breakfast for them both.

"Good morning, Vesper." He walked over and hugged her.

She hugged him back. "Good morning, Daddy."

Suddenly, a boy who looked identical to Wataru's own father slid down the banister and landed, grunting slightly. "There we go."

Wataru looked at the boy and raised an eyebrow. "Masao, what have I told you about riding the banister like a slide?"

Masao sighed and responded promptly. "That I shouldn't do it and it may give me splinters."

Vesper snickered as she watched the boys. This was quite the morning ritual for them all: her getting downstairs before her adoptive brother and him goofing around when he finally came downstairs. It practically never failed.

They sat down and dug into their breakfast: plates of bacon and eggs and one cup by each plate, two filled with coffee and the third filled with O blood.

Wataru knew about Vesper's half vampirism, considering he was half Fangire and the King of all Fangires, but he shared the title with his brother Taiga Nobori, who handled all the business of being the King.

Masao had Fangire blood in him as well, and that allowed him to become Neo Kiva with the help of Kivat IV, son of Wataru's Kivat. He was also aware of Vesper being half vampire and tried to help her wherever and whenever he could with controlling her thirst for blood.

Wataru looked at Vesper and smiled. "So, nervous about your first day?"

She nodded to him. "A little bit. I mean, I'm going to school with full humans, Dad. I hope my cravings don't hit too hard..."

Masao chuckled slightly and patted her shoulder. "Relax, sis. If they do, Kiva-la will alert you when I'm not there and you know it."

She smirked lightly in response, remembering the cute little bat who was Kivat IV's twin sister. Kiva-la usually went everywhere that Vesper went. Wataru had taught both Masao and Vesper how to fight, and they used their knowledge as a Rider duo, Neo Kiva and Kivala, the latter being Vesper's Rider form with her partner.

"Yeah, but I'm worried she won't be able to make it to alert you in time." She countered, swallowing some of the blood in her cup.

Wataru sighed softly. "Guys, cool it. You work as a team both on and off the battlefield, you'll be just fine."

The two kids nodded to him and shared a fist bump with him.

(Cue beginning theme: Break the Chains - Tourbillion)

After breakfast, Vesper gathered up her backpack and lunch bag and headed outside, making sure that Kiva-la was in her bag before she got on her Machine Eclipser and rode off to the Mystic Hills Community College. She had no idea what was going to happen, but she was hoping for a peaceful day for once.

Soon enough, Vesper made it to the college and she got off her bike, unaware that her bootlaces had gotten trapped under the wheel. She took one step forward and immediately fell down. "Whoa!" She hit the ground with a grunt and heard the kids laugh at her. She grumbled under her breath: "So much for making a good first impression..."

"Hey, you alright?" An unfamiliar voice came to her, sounding more gentle and sweet than Masao.

She looked up in confusion and saw a young man with impossibly pale skin, raven black hair going to his shoulders, and sapphire blue eyes that seemed to be staring into her soul.

"Uh... I think so. I just... my bootlace got caught under my bike tire. Random bit of clumsiness, I guess." She dusted herself off.

"Let me help you." He walked over to the tire and lifted it, pushing her bootlace out of the way and setting the bike down. "There you go."

She retied her shoelace and gets up, smiling at him. "Thanks for the help. I'm Vesper, by the way. Vesper Shade." She held out her hand to him.

He smiled back. "I'm Vlad Tod." He shook her hand and as he did, she noticed a small tattoo on his wrist: Elysian Code like her own, but what looked like his initials.

'Is he a vampire? Or half vampire at that?' She couldn't help but wonder.

What she didn't realize was that he had seen her tattoo as well and was thinking the same thing. 'Maybe she's a vampire, or hopefully half vampire like me.'

Vesper's bag rustled and without her knowing, the front zipper opened up and Kiva-la popped out, shaking herself off. "Jeez! Sometimes I hate hiding in her backpack!" Her voice was very high pitched and childish. She got out of the bag and flapped her wings, flying up to the teee above them and hanging upside down to watch them, thankfully having had not been noticed. "Alright. This guy seems kinda helpful, I suppose. He'd better not hurt Vespie though, or he's a dead duck!"

Kiva-la had an affection towards Vesper, as she was like a big sister figure to the halfa. Of course it always helped that the little bat was given hot fudge strawberry ice cream sundaes by Vesper herself from time to time, which were her absolute favorite.

Back to the duo, Vesper sighed softly. "Well, I need to look around the place. I never got the tour, so..."

Vlad chuckled softly. "Don't worry. I took the tour the week before today. Come on, I'll help you." He held out his hand to her.

Vesper smiled and was about to take his hand when she heard the tell tale scream of someone being confronted by a Fangire. Her smile dropped as she looked at Vlad. "Uh, hold that thought! I, uh... need to use the little girl's room!" She immediately bolted inside the lobby area.

Vlad frowned, having had heard her heart rate speed up slightly and seen her pupils dilate. "She doesn't even know where it is." He followed her inside, curious as to what was going on.

Inside, the Horse Fangire was holding a student by their throat and a pair of glass fangs were about ready to stab them. "Say your prayers, kid." Suddenly, a blur knocked the Fangire back and it dropped the kid, scrambling to get up."Who did that?!"

"Who do you think, smart mouth?" Vesper stood there with Kiva-la flying to her and hovering by her side.

"Bad move trying to drain a kid, bozo!" The little bat called out.

Horse got up and growled at Vesper, the face of its human form appearing on the stained glass of its body. "Lady Kiva."

"Right on the nose." Vesper pulled off her jacket and tossed it aside before glancing at Kiva-la and nodding. "Kiva-la, let's go!"

"Okay!" Kiva-la flew up and kissed Vesper's forehead. "Kiss!" She flew into Vesper's hand as the halfa caught her. "Henshin!" Hearts surrounded her as she changed into Kamen Rider Kivala, a similar but more feminine version of Kiva.

(Insert BGM: Kiva Form)

Vlad made it into the lobby and saw Kivala facing down her opponent, sighing in annoyance. "And I thought college couldn't get any weirder." He shrugged and pulled out his camera, taking photos of the battle as Kivala ran forward.

The Fangire met her in the middle and started trying to attack her, but Kivala countered every move it made with a well placed attack or a swift evasive maneuver.

Vesper was thinking about the power she now possessed, smirking under the helmet. 'Boy, am I glad Dad taught me how to fight and take these guys on.'

Kivala knocked the Fangire back with a final slash and stood straight up.

"Let's finish this!" Kiva-la called out as Vesper nodded.

(Switch BGM: Wake Up)

Energy wings appeared on the Rider's back as she charged up her blade with a bright light. She shot forward and slashed the Fangire, sliding to a stop a few feet behind it as it cracked and turned into shattered glass, the soul flying out a window and almost immediately being eaten by Castle Doran.

(End BGM)

Kivat IV flew up to a good height. "Make sure you chew, big guy!"

Masao ran inside and saw Vesper standing there with a proud stance. "Well, at least she took care of it."

Kivala turned and started walking away, Vlad watching her curiously and frowning silently as the scene became consumed with chains.

Galaxy: Well, upside is I managed to figure it out somewhat. She's klutzy, sort of awkward, and not a good liar. That's a start for her negatives. Positives are she's a sweet girl, has a lot of care for others, and loves her family. It's not much, but it's a start.

Bunnicula: (gibberish) Well, look on the bright side: You made a good crossover for Kiva.

Galaxy: So true. (looks at the camera) See you guys next time!

Bunnicula: (waves) Bye-bye!
