Luna had heard a lot about Neville from Harry. She found him rather interesting. During one night in the great hall, the Ravenclaws were sitting by the Gryffindors. Luna hadn't even realized that Neville was sitting completely parallel to her. She looked up at him, and smiled. To her surprise, Neville awkwardly smiled back. She wondered if Harry had said anything about her to him.
The next day Luna was nearly late to class. She ran through the crowded corridors with books piled high in her hands, and her blonde, curly hair escaping her ponytail. As she turned the corner, she managed to run straight into Neville and drop one of her books.
"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there... You see, I was on my way to class..." said Luna nervously.
"No problem, I was too. Um, I'm Neville. You must be Luna. Harry has told me many things about you." replied Neville through a nervous smile.
Neville had looked down at his hand, where he had been gripping his remembrall in his hand. Red swirls started to appear inside of it.
"That's rather peculiar. What does that object do?" said Luna who was quite mystified.
"It's... It's a remembrall. Red smoke appears in it when you've forgotten something. The problem is I sometimes don't even remember what I've forgotten". said Neville with a shrug.
"It's red right now, but, but I do actually think I remember what I have forgotten. I forgot to tell you that-that I like you Luna. A lot."
Neville leaned over and kissed Luna on the cheek, and she smiled.
"I like you too, Neville. Goodness, I'm even later for class! I must be going."
"Oh, ok. I'll see you around Luna." Neville said sadly. He looked back down at the remembrall, and its red swirls were fading. He looked up at her fading silhouette with a smile.
