A/N: I own nothing J K Rowling owns everything
She had set out that frost covered morning to finally lay to rest the feelings she had harboured for so long the feeling that no matter how hard she tried to ignore them would never sit quietly in the back of her mind in order to be forgotten. They had been their in the back of her mind and deep within her clutching her heart with icy cold hands as she wed Harry. The feelings she still clung to of him
It was now almost midnight and her husband would be worried about her whereabouts but she no longer cared this was more important then missing dinner with her family or not going to see her friends as she had promised. A strange sense of urgency had filled her as the seconds ticked by. She had to see him
The thick layer of snow crunched beneath her dark dragon skin boots as she made her way through the freezing old cobbled streets of the Hogsmead. She pulled her cloak tighter around her slight body to protect herself from the chill. After what had seemed like hours of wandering she found the recognizable ornate fence. She whispered her spell silencing the old heavy wrought iron gate as she slowly pushed it open her hands were shaking the time was now there was no backing out she made her way up the old stone path looking at the now frozen flowers that stood either side of her. She weaved her way towards him.
She stepped up the ice covered white marble steps taking a deep breath to steady her self she stared at the oak door before her it was now the only thing separating her from him. Tears were now forming in her eyes threatening to spill down her pink tinged cheeks taking her handkerchief from her pocket she dabbed at her eyes. She could not let him see her this way she could not appear hurt even if after all this time she still was. She still hurt for him.
Waving her wand the door creaked open slowly each centimetre closing the gap that she had let come between them all those years ago. Taking a deep breath she placed the handkerchief back in her bag and stepped towards the door feeling as though she was being pulled towards it. She needed him
She stepped into the blackness that filled the room flicking her wand gently the candles that lined the room lit up surrounding her with a soft almost comforting glow. She took another deep breath and crossed the room to where the bright gold plaque gleamed she traced her fingers over the words feeling the cold metal beneath her fingers. She was here for him.
"I told you I'd come" She whispered to the empty room smiling in spite of her heart break
She put her hand in her cloak pulling out a single red rose performing the spell she had been practicing for weeks she placed it in front of the plaque where it began to glow with a soft green light, placing the tip on her wand on the gold plaque she began tracing the words that were never engraved there but should have been.
Here liesDraco Malfoy
Hero and friend
The dragon who loved
his lioness forever
Stepping back she admired her work before pocketing her wand she turned to leave slowly crossing the room. As she reached the door she paused only to blow him one last kiss, her Draco was gone for now but not forever.
