Although they are usually very good fanfics, I get very upset when people break-up Rouge and Iceman, so had to get it out, but seriously, did no one read the comics? I didn't but my friend's a huge fan, loves star wars like you wouldn't believe. Off topic...
Here's my oneshot. Please enjoy and review if you too love rouge melting and iceman's heart.
Disclaimer: no i do not own x-men nor the recent movie the last stand, for things would've gone differently and 3 of the best characters would not have been jipped! Thank you...

"This isn't what I wanted" Bobby looked at the person he would do anything for, person he'd fought a war for, fought to create a world where they could be together. And she had left, to do this, for him? Was this his fault, did he pressure her? He hadn't wanted to, meant to, she was so much to him, everything in fact.
"It's what I wanted." She looked into his eyes, clear like ice, and did not regret her decision. Not just for him, for her. To never have physical human contact, never feel the warmth of another's touch, a hug, a handshake, a kiss that didn't leave someone else in her head or them in a coma. So small these things, but more than anything that money or gold could buy her. She told him again, and reached forward with her hand. No gloves, no need.
He looked at her outstretched hand, and realized what this meant for her. He had been selfish, thinking this was for him. Her whole world was different on such a fundamental level, he wanted to be apart of that world with her. He took her hand in his and squeezed tight...
Their eyes never broke contact until she closed hers and felt soft, caring lips press her own. Wrapping her free arm up she held his neck and felt his cool skin under her fingers, he let go of her other hand and held her close in a loving embrace, a hug that communicated so much more than words ever would or could.
Breaking apart, Bobby rested his cheek against hers, and whispered in her ear,
"As you were, as you are, as what you may be, I'll always love you."
All she could do was hold him tighter, she was never letting him go.
