Typhoon Season
Tai Kamiya and Sora Takenouchi ran to Tai's car to take sanctuary from the storm raging all around them. They managed to get to the car with the only casualties being Sora's umbrella. Out of breath from their run neither said anything for a time.
"I read you're Poetry" Tai said after a while
"Oh..." Sora said
"They're about you aren't they?" Tai asked rather rhetorically.
"mostly yeah..." Sora admitted, for a long time she had been writing poetry to help her cope with her problems, which seemed to be happening more and more recently.
"I... I know there's nothing I can really say that can help so... hug?" Tai said extending his arms to her.
Sora hesitated for a moment before saying "Yeah..." and leaning into the brown haired boy rain pounding on the windshield.
A comfortable silence fell between the two, with Tai holding on to her trying to lend her his strength so she wouldn't have to fight her demons alone, and Sora allowing herself to take comfort in her friend's embrace.
"I feel safe with you..." Sora mumbled
Tai smiled and responded "Good..." before the silence returned
Out of instinct Tai turned to look at Sora who responded the same way. Their gazes locked for a moment, and before either of them knew what was happening they were kissing. They pulled closer to each other in an attempt to deepen the kiss. After what seemed like too short a time they separated, and Sora buried her face in the crook of Tai's neck. Tai loosed his grip to a comfortable embrace and said "So you want to go out?"
Sora smiled and said "Yes..."
They shared another short kiss before they began staring into each others eyes.
"You're beautiful" Sora whispered
Tai was surprised, and didn't say anything so Sora buried her face again and said "I know that's not normally the thing the girl says to the guy but..."
"Sora, I've been told I'm handsome, hot, and just about every other compliment in the book, but never before has anyone called me 'beautiful', and it's because of that that it means more to me than anything else you could have said."
DT: Ok, let me explain this Minishot real quick. This actually happened to me in real life, granted this isn't exactly what happened word for word, I had to change some things here and there, but from a basic standpoint, this was the sequence of events. I made a point to include some exact lines, from the event, such as "I feel safe with you" and "You're beautiful", but I added the response just now, in real life I just sat there silently like the dork I am. Ah well, no harm done. Now before the AN becomes longer than this story I'm going to end it. The Digital Typhoon does not own Digimon!
