What He Really Wanted To Say

A Psych and Shules Fanfiction

A/N: So I just finished watching the AMAZING episode that premiered tonight and the second to last scene, during Shawn's whole speech, got me thinking of a different ending. Here it is. Review and hopefully enjoy!

"You see, I do want to change." Shawn said. "It just happens that the handsome young man standing next to me isn't the only man in this room who is in love." He added, dully noting the surprised gasp in the room.

"Yes, it's true. I too am hopelessly in love. Her name is Juliet O' Hara. You probably recognize her name from the countless photos she has been taken in with me as we worked on her cases, which I always seem to solve before she does." He continued, feeling his more usual nature creeping back up on him. His usual arrogance was how he kept his 'cool' up so easily.

He continued his speech with humor about wishing his father was not related by blood to him and why he believed his old soccer coach to be gay. As 'his' students filed out, he gave a good luck to the man beside him and left to go see Gus and talk him out of visiting the lesbian in jail because of the whole 'she wasn't into him' thing. He hadn't even made it out to his motorcycle before he saw a familiar car in the parking lot. Curious, he looked over and found a familiar blonde in the front seat.

"Hey there Jules!" He said brightly, letting himself into her car.

She smiled lightly at him and replied "Hey Shawn" before looking back down at her book, a small tear making its way down her face.

"Why the long face, Jules?" He asked, slightly surprised.

"Just a sad book I'm reading. I mean, the main character is taking WAY to long to just ask the girl he loves out and it's killing me!" She replied sadly. (A/N: I totally made up the whole book)

"Aww, Jules, does someone need a hug?" He replied humorously and reached over to grab her into his arms.

She lightly laughed and let herself cuddle up into his warm embrace.

He chuckled slightly that his idea actually worked and stroked her hair, thinking, 'I could get used to this'

So… what'd you think? I personally don't think the idea came out as well as I'd hoped but I got the idea somewhat. Plus, I didn't like how super short it was. Maybe I'll rewrite it some time soon. Hopefully I can finally get some sleep now(: Review and tell me how horrible it is, then review my other Shules stories!
