Dear Journal,

Yesterday I found out the results of the engineers test I took. I placed 74th on the list. And Roy, well Roy got 9th. When Cap told us this, well I felt a really jealous. I mean, I studied really hard for it. Every night I could study I studied. Studied at the station too. Then Roy decides not to take the promotion. If I had passed, I would have totally taken the promotion. I would even leave my favorite pigeon. The guy gets hurt too much anyway. I swear he is in Rampart more than he is at work. That might be an exaggeration, but not much. The guy has twisted his knee, been overexposed to radiation, had a monkey virus, sore muscles from being in a saddle for too long (that one didn't land him in Rampart), hurt his shoulder on a date (that one didn't land him in Rampart either), almost got swept away in a storm drain (got pretty sick from the water he inhaled), fell on his air tank at a fire (didn't go to Rampart again), almost fell off the edge of a catwalk, pulled his deltoid muscle at a fire, got bitten by a snake, and just yesterday, injured his leg and fell down a ladder. And that barely scratches the surface. Man the guy is a disaster magnet. He's the perfect pigeon too. Falls for every joke I set for him. Even his own backfire. When I asked Roy when he got back, about the promotion, he said he wasn't going to take it. Of course I asked him exactly why he didn't take it. He said that he just didn't feel ready to take the promotion. That he wasn't ready to leave the paramedic program. Anyone could tell though, that he didn't really want to leave Gage. The two are really close, closer than any paramedic team I've seen doing overtime. Well, like usual, writing everything down as made me feel better.
