How to use a microwave

"Alright now be good for me ok?" said to her 8-year-old sons.
"We will mom." They said nonchalantly, playing a video game.
"I love you two, bye!" she said, leaving the house.
Immediatley, the twins shot out of there seat, and started running around.
"Moms gone for a month! Dads gone for a month!" they sang.
"Weeeeeeeeee!" They shouted.
Kaoru stopped for a second. "Hikaru," he said.
Hikaru then stopped, "What is it Kaoru?"
"I'm hungry." Kaoru replied.
"Lets go eat!" they said, running for the kitchen.
"Ok! I know what we can make!" said hikaru excitedly.
"Ooo! What? What?" said kaoru.
"Pancakes!" they shouted together.
Kaoru and Hikaru climbed all sorts of shelfs and got as many yummy ingredients they liked.
"Ok! … How do we do this?" said kaoru.
"Well, I remember people using this…. microwave… I think." Said Hikaru.
"Good idea!" said Kaoru.
They mushed all of the ingredients into a bowl.
"Microwave! We wan't pancakes!"
The microwave did not respond.
"…"
"…"
"Lets see what these buttons do." They said.
They pressed 40:87
"Ok! Seems fine to me!' said kaoru.
Hikaru then pressed the start button and they left to go to their room.
"goodnight hikaru…" said kaoru.
"Night….." said hikaru.
Little did they know, to the maids horror, there was a huge explosion in the kitchen last night.
Not that they heard it, they were too busy sharing a dream.
