Sometimes a great loss is remembered, and the person who carries that loss is lost forever to the eyes of the world. And sometimes that saddness will avenge death, only sometimes. ______________________________________________________

Crystal tears hit the the floor, spreading saddness in small droplets everywhere. Shelly moved to the broken window across the room. Her mind flashed back to that day, Devils Night, when her lover died a death that killed them both.

"ERIC!!"

Though it was only a fading memory she rembered every last detail, from how he screamed for her, and how his blood flowed from his wounds. The only thing she can do is get revenge for his death, one way or another. As she turned to walk away from the window she heard a great flap and a caw, she turned to see a beautiful black crow pearched upon the window seel. The crow locked his gaze with hers, and suddenly she understood it all. The concepts of life and death, and the properties of true love. It all came back to her, as she looked at the dirt on her funeral dress. _____________________________________________________

(One year earlier.)

"We need to transfuse some blood into her quick!."

Random shouts played around her, as she lay there. She couldn't move much, and it hurt when she did. Thoughts of her lover, Eric, danced in her mind, the pain was nothing to her at that moment. Shelly wondered if Eric was ok, where he was..and why he wasn't here with her. Hours passed, and the pain never ceased. Finally her body was put to rest, they took her off life support. The funeral was big, and the church was filled with sobbing people. Sarah, sitting at the back, her face scarred with sliver tear trails. Shelly longed to reach out to everyone, and comfort them..telling them that shes ok, and that she'll be home soon. Though..one year later she arose, only to find Eric's gravestone next to hers.
