It was a dark dark night, there was a full moon in the sky.
A girl looked up, staring at the moon, then she started running again. '
Gotta get home. Full moon. Not safe.' She told herself silently as she ran through the woods.
A cloud covered the moon, making it pitch black.
The young girl tripped over a tree root and fell, hurting her ankle.
She picked herself up, wincing when she put weight on her bad ankle.
A low growl sounded behind her she looked around wildly, trying to find where it had come from.
It growled again, closer this time. T
he girl started to run again, this time slower, as she was limping and the moon had not yet come out from behind the cloud.
She could hear the growling getting closer.
'Stay calm. Keep running.' She whispered to herself quietly.
The cloud started moving and it became lighter.
She picked up her pace a bit, going as fast as her bad ankle would allow, dodging through the trees.
A branch snapped to her right, she immediately moved left.
But it was no use, the beast quickly gained on her.
It got closer, then BAM!
It pounced slamming the poor girl to the ground.
She screamed as the beast dug it's claws into her.
It growled, she could smell the blood on it's breath, She gagged.
The beast lowered it's head, it was about to bite her, then the beast suddenly flew off her, landing a few meters away with a thud.
There stood a blonde girl a few years older than her, about 17.
'Are you okay?' She asked,
'I'm- look out!' The injured girl replied as the beast pounced on the blonde girl.
She quickly fought back, pulling a thin piece of wood from her leather jacket.
She stabbed the beast in the heart, killing it. She went back to the injured girl.
'Are you okay?' she repeated.
'I'm fine, just my ankle, w-who are you?' The injured girl asked as the blonde helped her up.
'I'm Buffy.' The girl replied with a smile helping the younger girl walk out of the woods.
The girl looked at her confused, then smiled, 'Thanks.'
