Hey guys! It is moi, Dragon loving Bookworm, back with a second story! FYI: In this story Scatty is able to blush. If you want another chapter, please tell me.

Scathach stared deep into the reflective surface in front of her. She originally was just going to glance into the mirror but the silvery beads of water that were trapped in her hair and hung from her eyelashes captivated her. She wasn't really looking at herself though-she wasn't that self absorbed Narcissus- she was actually deciding to ask Perenelle for help. was Scatty's substitute mother and, right now, the Shadow needed all the help she could get! The Warrior Maid was roiling with new feelings. Some made her feel warm and fuzzy while others scared her beyond belief. The only thing Scathach was sure of was that all these feelings ignited around Josh.

Later, the red-headed girl politely knocked on the Sorceress's door and waited impatiently for it to be answered by the one person-or immortal- who could tell whatsoever what Scathach was thinking other than Joan of Arc, who would just tease the green eyed vampire.

"Hello Scatty. Let me guess, you need help." Perenelle stated as she opened her door, staring into the Warrior Maiden's eyes. Scatty nodded uncomfortably, she had forgotten how perceptive was. Instead of inviting the second generation immortal teenager into the room she and Nicholas shared the Sorceress stepped out into the hallway to join Scathach.

When the odd pair made it to a secure place in Joan's backyard the Shadow shifted from foot to foot. She was not used to asking for help from anyone. Finally, Scathach just let a drop of her aura trickle into the Sorceress's own, rendering access to her own thoughts and feelings. Perenelle surprised Scatty by beginning to laugh-hard!

"What?" asked Scathach, annoyed found her predicament remotely funny-or was it actually what the feeling was that was making the Sorceress laugh? Scathach hoped that the feeling wasn't too embarrassing!

"Scathach, what you are experiencing is a crush. Humans from ages 13 through 19 often experience the feeling of love for another being, which is essentially what a crush is." Perenelle choked out through her laughter.

"Oh." said Scatty, the blood rushing to her face.

It made an odd picture, a bright green eyed teen with scarlet cheeks leading a laughing older woman by her wrist. The woman was presumably laughing at the teen's embarrassment.

When the pair entered the safe house Joan looked up, intrested.

"What did you say to embarrass the great Scathach?" asked Joan of Arc curiously.

"Tell you later." mumbled Scatty, hands flying to her cheeks as the Shadow raced up the steps to her room.

"I take it she either figured it out or you told her how sickeningly obvious it was." stated Joan with a smirk, she always loved embarrassing her adopted sister. Perenelle nodded and the two women began laughing.

"Shut up!" Scatty growled from upstairs, a flush again rising to her cheeks.
