Message Sent
Summary: Natsu had never meant to do it. Truly, he hadn't. Why, oh why had he been so stupid?
Lucy hummed to herself as she turned over a new page and filled her ink pen. The only sound in the room was the scratching of t/he pen and the rustling of the paper. It was peaceful and quiet in her apartment. Just the right atmosphere for writing.
And then, the silence was broken with the annoying sound of her phone beeping.
Sighing, Lucy picked up her smartphone. Thee was a new message from Natsu.
It was a very long one. Lucy read it, and she went from curious to surprised, surprised to shocked and shocked to just plain embarrassed.

Natsu glared at his iPhone. He and Gray had been out to a party and since coming back, Gray had been pestering him about whom he really liked, whether it was Lucy or Lisanna (who was a childhood friend of Natsu's)
Huffing, Natsu picked up the phone. It seemed that the only way to shut Gray up was to tell him the truth. It wasn't like Gray would tell anyone, anyway.
He typed: 'Alright, Gray, I'll tell you. It's Lucy, alright? Stupidly enough, it's always been her, and I dunno why, prob'ly because she's been my best friend after Lisanna. I've always loved her…'
The message trailed on, long and sentimental (for Natsu) and finally, he sent it.
The dialog box that appeared on the screen nearly gave Natsu a heart attack.
'Message sent to Lucy Heartfilia.'
