A deadly silence had overwhelmed the battle. The scream that had echoed through the room made way for emptiness. Amongst the shards of piercing glass a body was found shattered into pieces; a head, two arms and only one leg. Golden locks separated from the remains and flew off into the wind.

All over the floor were pieces of dolls, mostly smashed heads and arms. Each seemed to have personality but they were of little importance. Not like the newly added pieces were.

Her last moments would be the best she would ever experience. Her eyes frozen in the fear she had felt. The tears fell meaninglessly to the ground. Slowly from the sky, feathers and tiny, pink, rose petals fell. The rose petals reflected the only bit of light being cast onto the scene, giving the corpse an eerie glow. The black feathers seemed to surround it and point the way to the shell that had become junk.

The father they loved had meant for this to happen. He wanted only one to live, only one to breathe. For the others this seemed to be a hard wish, they loved each other. This was not the feeling she felt on the inside, she wanted to kill them all. She had longed for the moment she was having now. No one's death would have satisfied her more than this had. The only daughter who had stood in her way to becoming Alice had been killed by her own hands.

This time she had torn the arm off and was secure in the fact that no one could fix her dying sister. When she had torn the other off, she had laughed so loudly that the glass around her shivered in horror.

The body beneath her crushed so easily with the powers she forced into it. The girl had screamed in pain as her chest imploded. That was the last noise that would ever be heard from her father's favored one. There really was no challenge while she was alone, no one could compare to her power. She tried to feel something as she watched the tear roll down the rosy cheek. She could only smile.

All around the two, the flower petals continued to fall. They seemed to be crying, that was until all the full roses had turned to black. The flower petals ceased then. She knew she had won.

In the distance, a bell rang. It was a church bell. There was no bell in her world… where had this come from? She turned around slowly and stared directly into reality. She had been placed on a pew; in front of her was a stained glass window casting the moon's reflection onto her. Had it only been a dream?
