Here's a little fic that popped into my head in during school. Its short and sweet and my first, so leave a reveiw!

Disclaimer: Why would I own Harry Potter? If I did I would not be scrounging for scholarship money!

He could not believe what was happening. The horror that was unfolding itself before his very eyes was too horrendous for sight, but he could not remove his sight from it. Powerless to move against those who held him, Harry was powerless to prevent the love of his life from leaving him in the arms of another. He longingly gazed at her form as it bobbed away across the field. Her form had the curves he longed for, her straight brown hair just longed to be caressed. New fight bloomed in his chest. He would NOT allow himself to loose the only dream he had that summer, to hold her freely once again, only to have her taken prematurely from him. His struggling did nothing against his restraints, and he leaned longingly after the apple of his eye, against the hands that were trying to pull him further away. When he still refused to budge, Hermione gave a derisive snort.

"Harry, for goodness sakes, its dinner time and its only the first day of school. You can ride your broom later."
