Dedicated to Eeone, my senior. Sorry but I don't own bleach and yes, Eeone, so I can't give you Byakuya. You'll have to share it with everyone else. (:

Just for today

"What is the matter, Rukia?" Sensing the reiatsu of the figure standing outside the frame door, the 6th Squad taichou asked.

The raven haired girl slid the frame door open, her hands trembled ever so slight. Immediately after her entrance, she closed the door quietly and kneeled on the cool floor board. "Nii-sama."

"What is it?" The 6th Squad taichou asked without turning around, his voice ever emotionless and cold.

"I…" Rukia stopped and took a deep breath before continuing. "I… wish to stay in the real world."

The 6th Squad taichou continued doing his report, his eyes never leaving the paper.

Rukia squeezed her eyes closed and decided to explain quickly, "It was…"

"For the ryoka boy." Rukia's eyes widen to the taichou's statement.

Rukia's sat stunned, unable to say anything, "I…"

"Do as you wish." The taichou interrupted coldly.

"Nii… sama…" Rukia's voice trailed off, her eyes glancing at the back of the taichou longingly, feeling sad, happy and guilty at the same time.

There was a moment of silence between the two.

"When are you leaving?" The taichou broke the silence.

"Tomorrow… If possible." Rukia replied nervously.

The 6th Squad taichou stood up, shocking Rukia in the process. He walked over to a shelf located at the side of the room.

He took out a box from the bottom drawer and walked over to Rukia, kneeling right in front of her. He then placed the box in front of her, motioning her to accept which was what she did.

"You may leave, Rukia." The taichou turned back to his paperwork.

"H-hai, Nii-sama."

The door slide closed, Kuchiki slowly and gracefully put down his brush and turned around, glancing at the door with a seemingly blank stare.

Kuchiki Byakuya decided to stop doing the paperwork, he had lost all his motivation after the visit by his sister. He stood up and turned to open the door but before he could do so, the door instantly slid open and the figure hugged him tightly from below his arms.

He stood shocked for a moment before reacting, "Ru… "

A muffled voice answered, "I'll accept any punishment for being disrespectful…"

"Later." She added.

A box laid open in the bedroom of Kuchiki Rukia, in it laid a teal scarf and a card with two words written in an elegant and neat handwriting written.

Be well.

Scenes of the two flashed before her eyes, how her brother had wanted to kill her, how her brother had helped her to escape to Hueco Mundo, how her brother had... saved her...

Nii-sama...

Kuchiki Byakuya stood still for a moment before, his eyes soften, breaking into a rare gentle smile and stroked the soft black hair of his beloved sister. Just for today, he'll drop his mask. Just for today, he'll stop being the head of Kuchiki. Just for today, he'll stop being a taichou. Just for today, he'll be a brother that deeply loves his sister.

I love you but goodbye, Rukia.

Author's note: It's my first time writing Byakuya. I hope it went well. And Eeone, I hoped you get good results for your Os. And yes, there ain't any plot because I finished this thing in less than half an hour's time, couldn't come up with a good idea… It's kindacoughis random.

And also, Be well and goodbye, Eeone. (No, I don't love you. XD)
