Disclaimer: I don't own Keys to the Kingdom.
Being born in a denizen family ensures that you have different childhood.
I'm taking some time off of my main priority, A Day like Sunday, and writing something just whimsical and plain silly. Don't worry; I'm still working on it. I just need some time off.
Send me ideas, for this and A Day like Sunday.
Note: Takes place in Sunday's, Tom's, and Pip's makeshift childhood.
Our Brother's Tales – Kill you? ME?!
As it turns out, Piper has a fear of heights…
And just what happens when Sunday and Tom try to help him?
"Riiight…Not my fault if you get hurt playing about on the edge of the roof."
"Come on Sunday. If you don't, Pip'll never get over his fear."
"Tom…Getting over the fear of heights doesn't include being pushed off a three story building!"
"What? It's the shortest building in the Gardens!"
"Tell me, your reason, on HOW it would work?"
"Well…It made sense when I went over it in my mind."
"You know, I think all that seawater from the port has gone to your head."
"Says my stiff of an older brother."
"You're a total twi-"
"Hmm, the port. We can push Pip off of the bow of Wednesday's ship! That way he will have a less of a chance of dying!"
"I am horrified by your ideas. Torture, not helpful at all. Besides Pip can't swim, and what do you mean by 'we'? Also, how are you going to convince her to let you kill our brother?"
"Well, she does like you. Second mom? I got to say. How does she act around you?"
"I'll ignore that, and I don't want to delve on it. How is pushing him off of a boat helping him with heights? I regretfully understand if you push him off of the roof, but not a boat."
"Well, we are denizens. We can't completely die by drowning, and you're going to help."
"We're kids…"
"I never thought in the world that you'll use that phrase as an excuse! Besides, still denizen! Now help me get Pip and drag him to Wednesday!"
"You still didn't answer my question."
"Are you going or not?"
"NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE, WILL I HURT MY YOUNGER BROTHER!"
"What if it was meant to help him?"
"No."
"Sheesh…"
"Where is Pip anyways?"
"Somewhere…"
"…"
"Uhh…"
"Twit."
"Wasn't your turn to babysit him Sunday?"
"Nope."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Check with Dusk then, because I'm sure it's either you or dad."
"Are you sure it's me."
"Straight and true I say it."
"Sunday, my great and nobl-
"No, I'm sorry Tom. I'm not taking the blame."
"Please! Well, at least help me find him!"
"I'm sorry, but he was your responsibility."
"Damn it all!"
Tom rushes off the roof, down the stairs to desperately find his younger brother Pip. Little does Tom know, Sunday had Pip entertained in father's office.
"A simple act of vengeance, Tom. Revenge, a fine dish, to be ordered in complete secrecy and best served in the hand of mother's wrath."
Well that was refreshing, never mind the fact that manage to finish a good part of chapter 3 after writing this. Review please.
