It took 3 years for Conan and Ai to take down the Organization. 3 years of being stuck together in a child body. Now that the Organization's gone and the Antidote complete, it was a big desicion for Conan to make.
He can take the antidote and go back to being Kudo Shinichi, back to his flashy life and to Ran.
Or not to take it and restart his life as Conan Edogawa, be humble and not taking most of the credit after solving a crime. Start again his life with friends although they are kids.
Haibara Ai, the scientist who shrunk him with APTX 4869 said she won't be taking the antidote. That is why he is such in a dilemma.
Conan don't want to lose Ai. Since he realised his feelings for her, he fell deeper and deeper like uncovering mystery after mystery. And she still has more to show and give him, he can feel it too.
But he don't want to hurt Ran. After waiting for 3 3years and he decides not to come back, what will Ran do? He knows she'll cry and be hurt.
Staring at the antidote in his tiny hand, he put it back into its container and set his mind to his desicion.
After 5 years
"I love you! Will you go out with me?" Conan asked.
I was shocked and stared at him and I smirked, chasing away the blush that's creeping to my cheeks. Calming my buzzing heart. "What?"
"Oh c'mon Haibara don't be like this. I know you heard what I said."
"No. Ofcourse I did. Are you feverish?" I put my palm in his forehead checking his temperature.
"No ofcourse not!" He swat my hand away.
"Ofcourse." I said and smiled at him.
"Wha- really?!" He yelled.
"Yes. Now c'mon I need to go buy ingredients for dinner." I said as I walked past him.
He immediately run to my side and can't hide that wide grin spread across his handsome face.
