Snow Angel
Neville Longbottom looked up from his potions essay on the many variations of the Wolfsbane potion. Staring out the window, he saw all his friends playing in the fresh snow. He wished he could join them, but potions was just not his forte, and he was only halfway done.
Whoop! Neville almost ducked out of the way when the snowball hit the window. Slowly, it slid down and he spotted the source of the snow-made ammunition. Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley and a few other Gryffindor friends were having a full-fledged snowball fight. A few feet away, some brave Ravenclaws were ice-skating on the frozen lake. Neville silently hoped they would not fall in because the Giant Squid was not too friendly this time of year. For once, even Draco Malfoy was enjoying the snow. Arguing about whether or not to put a hat on it, he and his posse attempted to make a snowman.
Away from all the giggles and noise, a solitude figure caught Neville's eyes. Luna Lovegood was sprawled on the ground surrounded by sparkling, untainted snow. Getting up, Luna observed her handiwork. She had made a snow angel. Her wavy, golden hair glistened in the sun. Her showed her satisfaction of having made a perfect snow angel. Turning around, she spotted Neville looking at her. Her face lit up with a smile and waved. He grinned as he turned the greeting. Luna gave him a let's-make-snow-angels-together look.
Neville turned back to the room and glanced at his abandoned potions essay lying on the desk by the fireplace. Grabbing his coat and scarf, he headed for the door. His potions essay on the Wolfbanes potion will have to wait.
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, or else I'd be rich...
A/N: Sorry I haven't been updating lately, but I did this story in between studying for Mid-Terms, so it isn't my best. I'm sorry it's so short. I hope you like it anyways. Please Review! .
