Hi guys! This is my first story as you might have guessed so I beg of you. Go easy on me! I hope you enjoy :)

INTRO

It was this time two years ago that her Mother died. The pain had subsided but she could still fill the emptiness inside her like icy cave.

Lucy had been an only child to Layla Heartfilia. Her father had left them when she was young so the memories weren't very clear but she knew she didn't like him one bit. Lucy had a quiet life growing up. Her and Her mother lived alone in a small cottage on a hill over looking the isolated village where she grew up. It was an old village, very quiet. Mostly older people lived with an exeption of a few children slightly older than her. Life was very simple for Lucy, she was never really one to make friends so if she wasn't either buying supplies or helping out with the farm she would be home with her mother.

And then it happened. Her mother started to become weak even at her young age. They found out she was very ill and didn't have a good chance of living. Lucy felt the need to care for her mother full time as though if she blinked the elder woman would disappear. And she did.

That time has passed now. Now she didn't have a place to call home. No one to call family. She have had no money because of the lack of working and she was wandering on the roads hoping to reach Crocus. The Capital of Fiore. Her life turned upside down and now she had to pick herself up. Her mother had told her to always pick herself up and let nothing get her down but it was harder than it sounded. Lucy was probably a thread's length away from snapping and completely breaking down again. She just needed to hold onto hope.

She was use to walking now. She's been on the road for 2 years now. Just... Wandering.

She had no goals in life, she barely even knew anything about the world she was living in for christ sake.

As I was saying...

Lucy shivered as her bare arms prickled with the cold morning air as flew past her. Her feet were starting to ache now, she knew she had to stop and rest soon but she could just about see the faded twinkling lights of a near by village and she was determined to get there. The trees whistled as the wind dance through the delicate brightly coloured leaves. It was fall you see. All around were oranges, golds, crimsons and mahogany's floating and swirling down as of they were dancers.

Lucy pulled her Heavy cloth back over her shoulders to keep in the last bit of warmth she can, she felt her eyes droop and her vision became blurry. She slowly turned to see a climbable tree and headed for bed on the tallest branches. For once she was overwhelmed that she had no luggage just clothes and herself. She fell into a deep slumber ignoring the sounds of the booming crackling from the sky above...
