Who the Heck Are You?
Dark, cornered, and cold. That is what I feel like right now. That's all I have felt ever since Yellow Diamond kidnapped me 2 Earth years ago. Well that's a lie. I've also felt pain. Lots and lots of pain.
My name is Nova Rosefield. You see 2 years ago Yellow Diamond was looking for human specimens to expirement on. I just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. They made me something unheard of on this planet. A gem-human hybrid. I am treated like a freak of nature by everyone and kept in a small, cold, dark cell. I've tried escaping multiple times but they always catch me and punished me afterwords. I have not seen a human being in 2 whole freaking years! I feel like I'm gonna snap any day now!
They did unspeakable things to me. They injected a weird thing that looks like the Orion Belt inside my left forearm and put a Colbalt gem in my right forearm. I can summon a pair of Katars. I can also float, fully shapeshift, and turn invisible if I press on my Orion Belt. They said I haven't reached my full potential yet and I still need to work on a few things but I don't want to. I just want to go home.

"What the heck was that?" I yell/screamed.
"Lars I think someone is down there!" yells an unfamiliar voice
Wait that can't be what I think it is. Can it? Just to make sure... "Hello? Is someone out there? Please help me!"
"Don't worry we are coming! Stay right were you are and keep talking to us!" A male voice responds
"I wish I could go somewhere," I whisper to myself "I'm over here!" I say as I crawl over to the front of the cell.
"I think I see her Rhodonite!" says the male voice again. I think someone said his name was Lars?
"Me too!" The fusion responds as they run up to the front of my cell. "Its a girl!" She says in surprise.
"Well no duh Rhodonite!" Lars retorts back
"No I mean its a human I think!" She says pointing at my skin "Look at her skin! Gems skin is usually an unnatural color like from the rainbow or something. Her skin is golden brown like some humans!"
"Your right!" Lars says while studying my skin
"If you guys don't mind I would sorta like to get out of here." I say interrupting their conversation by stepping out of the cell.
"Right, right! Sorry ummm... What's your name?" She says while running
"Nova. Nova Rosefield. And your Lars right? Wow you look really fam8liar " I say while looking at the Male
Wait, wait, wait. How do you know my name?! " he asks in suspicion
"Dude she just said it like less than 5 minutes ago. " I point out
"Oh yeah... " he says in realization
"Wait, " I stop in my tracks and so do the others " Are you human? Cause you sure don't look the part. " I say while noticing his pink hue
"Yeah... You see I died.. But then I got undead? I don't know all I know is my half gem friend Steven-"
"Wait you mean Steven the half gem as in Steven Quartz Universe the half gem? " I cut him off
"Yeah... How do you know him?! " he asks suprisedly
"Do I know him? What kind of question is that! Of course I know him! We're related for Pete sake! " I yell
"Wait... Nova? Is that really you? " he asks
"Yeah! Its me! Oh my God you actually are Lars Barriga! " I say as my blood pressure goes through the roof.
"Uuuummmmmmmm... Guys? Now might not be the time to catch up! We have to go to the others and get out of here! " she says starting to panick
"Right, right. Let's go. " Lars says getting back to running. I nod and follow close behind. But then a very good question pops in my head.
"Umm... How are we even gonna get out of here?"
"Oh we stole emeralds fastest ship! " Lars responds back.
"Oh stars have mercy on those who get in your way. " They gave a slight chuckle at that. It was quiet for the rest of the way to the ship. When we finally got there we immediately took off into space. There was a sapphire, a deformed rutile, and another fusion. They all look were looking at me so I gave a small smile and waved.
"Lars who is this? " asked the rutile
"Guys this is Nova. Nova this is Rutile, " he said as he pointed to the rutile " Fluorite, " he said as he pointed to the really big fusion " Padparadscha Sapphire, " as he pointed to the sapphire " and this is Rhodonite. " he said as he pointed to the smaller fusion.
"Why... Hello... There... Nova... It... Is... Nice... To... Meet... You... " fluorite said as she extended one of her hands.
"It's nice to meet you also Fluorite! " I said as I shook her extended hand
"Hi there! You don't really look like a gem. Are you human? " rutile said as we also shook hands
"Well yes and no. They... Ummm. They experimented on me and made me half gem soooo... Ya half human half gem. Like Steven! " I said trying to be enthusiastic about my current situation. They weren't falling for it.
"Oh I have a prediction! Lars and Rhodonite will bring an unnatural gem human hybrid when they board the ship! " I just stare at her silently
"Uhhhh... "
"She can only predict things that have already happened. " Lars says
"Oooooohhhhhhhhh... " I say in realization. After I say that thought it gets really silent and awkward. So I just sat down in a chair and closed my eyes. I wonder silently to myself how long it has been since I've slept. 5 days, a week... A month? I've sorta lost track of time. And I still can't believe I'm going back home. My peace and quiet is suddenly interrupted by a strange noise and a thump.
"Woah! " I heard a familiar voice say
"Steven?! " Lars says. This is when I quickly turn around in my chair. It really is Steven! He hasn't aged a day has he. He also brought a girl.
"Lars? " he responds in confusion. I heard a sorta static noise and turn towards the front if the ship. Its emerald.
"Its over! I've got you now you miserable off colors!" she yells
"You'll never take us alive emerald! " Lars yells back
"I have another vision! We are going to be discovered! By emerald! " Padparadscha says in shock
"Wait. Captain?! " Steven and the girl say in union
"Fluorite how are the engines doing? " Lars asks
"Let... Me... Check... " she responds as she goes down the stair's
" Twins fire up the Nova thrusters! " he commands
"Yes captain. Right away captain! " they respond
" No NO! Those are my Nova thrusters! That is my ship! " emerald yells
"Rhodonite, is everything clear up ahead? " Lars asks gently
"For now. " she responds nervously
" It was a minor inconvenience when you stole my personal shuttle and crashed it on obsolot nine. It was an insult when you impersonated imperial officers in jubily. To steal my Sun incinerator it is just unacceptable!" Emerald practically screams
" if you care so much about this ship maybe you shouldn't have left it unguarded in Claudia seven. " Lars replies smugly
"THERE WERE 67 ELITES GUARDING IT! " she screams
"Oh. I didn't see any. Oh wait I did. They didn't see us!" He says happily
"I'LL GET YOU! I'LL GET YOU MYSLEF! I'll do it right now! I'll blow you up to smithereens!" She says insanely
"Hah! Good luck catching us! We stole you fastest ship!" He replies smugly
"The... Engines... Are... All... Set... " fluorite says as her head pops out of the stairs entry way
"Twins hyper speed us out of here! " he says to the twins
"You will not use hyper speed! " emerald yells in defiance
"Bingo bongo. " Lars says as he winks and uses finger guns
OFF COLORS! "emerald yells as she gets turned off because of hyper speed.
" Lars... That was so cool! Oh my gosh! " Steven says as he jumps up and hugs Lars
"Heh. I guess so. " Lars says hugging Steven back while shrugging his shoulders
"I guess so? I guess so?! Lars that was the coolest thingbive ever seen in my freaking entire life! " I decide to speak up
"Hey Lars who is that? " Steven asks as he points to me. I have to admit it kinda hurt for him not to recognize me but I didn't want to show it.
"Steven out of all the people here you should know who that is." Lars says "I mean you are related to her. "
"Huh? What do you mean I'm related to her? " Steven asks in confusion
"Yeah Lars what do you mean he is related to her. Wouldn't I know about her if she was related to him. " the girl points out
"Well I mean I guess after she disappeared you didn't really talk about her anymore. But you should remember her. You spent like everyday with her. " Lars pointed out
"Wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me that, that girl... Over there... " he says finally putting the pieces together. I run up to him and give him a huge hug. He reciprocates. "Super Nova! " he yells
"Little Stevie! " I yell back. The hug lasts about 3 minutes. I let go and notice he is crying. "Steven! What's wrong?! " I ask worried
"I-i thought you were... " he doesn't finish his sentence
"Of course I wasn't. You know I'm a Survivor! " I say as I flex. He laughs lightly.
"Of course I did! But still... When we couldn't find you I just expected the worst. "
"Don't worry Bud. I'm here now! Now who is your friend over there? " I say pointing to the girl
"Oh! That's my Jam Bud Connie! Connie this is my cousin Nova! " I says introducing us
"So nice to meet you Connie! " as I stick out my hand. She accepts the hand shake.
"Glad to meet you also! "
"So Lars are we headed to earth? " Steven asked
"Yep. I think we've spent a lot more time in space than needed. " Lars responded with a small smile. I gave a huge smile. This is it. I'm getting out of here! Finally after two whole years I'm leaving space! But then I remember. My family died. My friends. Their all dead. My world comes crashing down. I start sobbing and everyone turns to me. I honestly don't care though. My small group of friends. My mom. My dad. My brother! My poor four year old brother... All dead. I too heartbroken to notice Steven trying to comfort me along with Connie and Lars. Steven is hugging me Lars is rubbing my back and Connie is saying comforting words which I can't hear. After about 30 minutes I calm down to hiccups and sniffles.
"Sorry guys." I mumble feeling numb
"Its okay. We would probably do the same thing if we knew we had nothing to go back to either. " Lars says rubbing my back still
"But just know Nova you do have something to go back to. You have my dad, the gems, Connie, Lars! Heck all of beach city probably!" Steven points out
"You really think so? " I ask with hope in my voice
"Yeah. I really do. " he smiles. I give a small smile back. I hug him still sniffling. He hugs back
"Not to interrupt this heartfelt moment but were going to be landing in 30 seconds. " the rutile twins point out. I wipe my tears away.
"Thanks guys. " I say with a small smile "Now let's go home. "
