At first, you don't believe the dream. Your fair haired companion? Your friend for however long this journey has been? Yet the curse is too real. It threatens both your life and his sanity.

You contemplate death with a level head. What can you do to escape it? What do you have to offer in return?

You aren't asking for immortality, you aren't running from your end. You had, in your eyes, more selfish reasons to live.

If it isn't you, who will bring back that smiling boy? Who else was like the two of you?

As you think of this your heart twists in disgust. It is not love you think of, that makes the two of you different.

It is your condition, your very beings, that drive you apart from the rest.

Copy. Copy.

Clone. Clone.

As soon as he left, you realized what you were. How can you live your life, when it originally was someone else's? Have you stolen it? Are you human? Are you worth anything at all?

Try as hard as you can, the unsettling, unimportant, unanswerable questions dog your mind as you ask for the price. The price to 'live' this lie. The price to save those who truly had worth. And the price to save the only thing that really mattered.

Him.

The price? Your luck. You fight back a disparaging laugh.

Your luck? Your luck? What had it done for you before? Won a few card games? That was hardly a price to pay.

Of course there was more to it. You like it better that way. Lately you have learned that if it is too simple then it isn't worth it.

Your body and soul will have to be split; your form cast away, as the curse plunges into your heart.

You barely have to think about it.

Yes. A million times over.

Truly, this was a proper price to pay for someone who couldn't protect their friends. For someone who is to blame. For someone, who is no one.

A/N: I really wanted to try second person for once. It was actually rather fun. This is in the perspective of c!Sakura after Acid Tokyo... Or whatever that arc was called. I can't remember. This also was originally written as a poem, but decided it looked dumb and had no rhyme or pattern or timing so switched it over to story mode. I hope it makes an improvement.
