Chapter 1: Iggy
Iggy woke up looking up at the blue sky he had fallen asleep watching the hawks fly above. He loved the beautiful maple trees in the fall their fiery red and orange the bright yellow he thought it was simply mind-blowing any other words would come up short. Even though the trees, the hawks and the blue clear sky were simple everyday things when you lose those everyday things you never take them for granted again. After losing his sight because of the white coats (evil scientist who created experiments by using children and animal DNA) he thought he would never get it back but one day it just came. Ever since he would come out to this field surrounded around by maple trees and would just lie out in the field watching the hawks.
"It must be close to lunchtime," Iggy said aloud to himself, "I don't want to worry Max and the others." He started to walk back still watching the hawks above nearly running into a tree. Once he was back in to the house he had smelled hot dogs being cooked over an open flame, he could also smell a pumpkin pie. He walked up to Fang and asked "Who's cooking the pumpkin pie I know Max isn't making it, if so be prepared to die of food poisoning." Fang grinned. "I heard that, Iggy." Max said walking by with napkins in her hand. Iggy looked at Fang trying not to burst out in laughing. Iggy sat down next to Gazzy and Fang while Nudge, Angel and Max took their seats. Nudge was going on and on about something I think she was talking about where hot dogs came from but no one listened either because she was a major motor mouth or because no one really wanted to know where hot dogs come from especially when the food looked so good. Angel was ripping up a hot dog and placed it on a paper plate and sat it down on the table and Total jumped up and began eating.
After lunch every thing had gone down hill suddenly we heard gunshots we immediately hit the deck. Fang was tense so was Max I knew they were going over escape plans Max said in a very low whisper, "go down the hall into my room and when the cost is clear up and away. I'll go outside and distract I'll meet you at the hawks cliff and don't worry I wont be hurt I'll be just fine." "NO!" , exclaimed all of the flock. "No Max we aren't leaving you again." , said Angel. "We can't last time we did we almost got killed." , said Gazzy. Max began to re think "Ok fine they will have to come in sometime so when they do like I said go down the hall into my room then jump out and fly away ok?" "Ok!" we all exclaimed
The door was just broken down and we began to silently run to Max's room and we had jumped out and then we couldn't move we saw a thin but strong net around us then all 6 of us 7 if you include Total were thrown into a huge bag it was nerve racking all of us were in a small space and completely tangled around each other. We had been captured then it was dark I couldn't see my own hand in front of me. Then after what seemed like forever we started to move and then the bag opened and there was a blinding light poured in. I sat up quickly and I realized I was blind again every thing was dark but I heard Max in the kitchen no doubt attempting to make breakfast I smiled to my self and as I walked in I offered to make eggs I figured no one needed to worry about my dream so I let it go and turned on the stove.
