Good Night, Maximum Ride.

Chapter One

The first thing I saw was the pitch-black ceiling of a clay wall. Presumably it was plaster of Paris, but she didn't care, not now. Iggy was gone, and how could she live with that? He was the most caring guy she had known, and out of spite and jealousy, Fang killed him. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she fought the urge to let them spill out. No, she must keep strong. There was no way she was going to let Fang have the satisfaction of seeing her cry and mourn over Iggy with the camera he had installed in the cell. It was a battle she lost.

"No!" she screamed. Punching the wall with her superhuman strength, it didn't stand a chance. A whole chunk of the wall went flying outside, to the cell next door to hers.

"OW!" Angel shouted. "What was that for?" Max felt sorry for her baby, she didn't deserve to feel like a bird in a cage, pardon the pun. If she didn't have Iggy back anytime soon, she would die, and Fang would let her rot away, for all he cared. I must find Iggy's body, she thought. I gotta give him the burial he deserves. He was a fallen angel, fallen from the world he had grown up in, but struggling to redeem himself in the world he had known all of his life.

"You deserve better, Iggy, and I'll find you, if it takes my life to do that."

Chapter Two

The next day, Fang had opened my cell door. Somehow, he had managed to make it past my superhuman hearing. Why was he here? To taunt me and make fun of me? I didn't think so.

"You have three seconds, exactly to get out of here, or I swear to the angel Gabriel, I will rip your heart out, and make you eat it. "

"Now, you're in no position to argue, and you know I'm still more powerful than you ever will be, Max." hissing at him, I launched myself at him.

"I swear I'll kill you! This is for Iggy!" Angel busted down the wall from the other side, and joined in the fight. She yelled at me which way to move, when to dodge his punches and kicks, and exactly when to attack him. She's psychic, and could read Fang's mind. He seemed to realize this and knew we had found his weak spot. I kept hammering away at him, my reserves of adrenaline never seeming to drain. Finally, he collapsed. I whipped out Iggy's pocketknife, the one he had loved the most, and slew him with it.

Now, dear Iggy, I am free to be with you again, I thought.

"Angel, don't be scared baby, I want you to know that I love you like you were my girl, and so did Iggy, and maybe Fang did too, once. Nudge was your best friend and sister, until the very end, until she died. I want you to spread the message to all deformed people like us. Family is the most important thing in your life, and if you don't have anyone to love, then life isn't worth living." I kissed angel on the forehead, and hugged her tightly, knowing after this, she would have three guardian angels.

"Goodbye Angel, my life isn't worth living anymore. Tell mom I said hi."

And I killed myself, joining Iggy and Nudge.
