Disclaimer: I do not own Mortal Instruments

A/N: I wrote this fic in like 10 minutes so I'm sorry if it sucks. It's one-sided Alec/Isabelle.

Pairing: Alec/Isabelle(one-sided)

Isabelle scowled at her bedroom mirror, cursing the horrible thing that she was wearing.

Glasses.

Isabelle Lightwood had to wear glasses.

Isabelle had once thought that she could make anything look good. But these stupid glasses made her look like a dork. Isabelle never looked like a dork.

Isabelle figured that the moment she found out she needed glasses was on her top ten worst moments ever list.

She had been having issues seeing things lately so her mother had taken her to an eye doctor. The doctor said he would call in a couple of days with the result and two days later he did.

And her mother had chosen to answer the phone during dinner.

When everyone was there. Including Alec's boyfriend, Magnus.

It was the most embarassing moment of her sixteen years of life.

Jace, of course, had been incredibly sarcastic and mocking about it. Big surprise there.

Clary had been sypathetic and Magnus had simply laughed at her.

Alec, however had looked at her with his pretty blue eyes and an encouraging smile had graced his perfect features and he told her that she would look fine with glasses. Meanwhile, Isabelle's heart had been doing several backflips in her chest and she actually blushed when he looked at her.

She had admitted to herself a long time ago that she was madly in love with her brother. After all how could she not be?

He was sweet and funny(sometimes) and brave and smart and beautiful and so many things and she just couldn't help but love him. Even if he was her brother.

But he would never love her back.

Not only because he was gay but because him and Magnus were made for each other. And Magnus made Alec more happy than she ever could.

It sucked. Even more than these glasses.

'Then again' Isabelle thought to herself with a smile 'Alec did say they look pretty on me'.

Maybe glasses weren't so bad afterall.
