I've been a bit stuck on what to write next for my other story so I thought I'd post something new while I get over my writers block. Hope you enjoy.
The Challenge
"So we've upped the challenge for you tonight Nino." Alec said cheerfully as he presented his show The Challenge. He pulled a piece of paper out of an envelope and read out loud. "You're gonna have to get two celebrities to dance instead of one! However this time, you can choose your opponents." The camera changed to show Nino, looking confident as he replied. "Oh, I've got this one in the bag." He said. "I'm gonna pick two buds I know won't let me down. Ladybug and Chat Noir!"
Back at her house, Marinette let out a gasp. She had been sitting comfortably on the couch, watching the show with her parents. But now she had to think up a believable lie, so she could sneak out to the studio without causing suspicions. "Uh, on second thought, I'm wiped. I'm gonna take a nap. Don't wanna be late for school tomorrow and, you know, mess up that perfect school record. Tell me what happens, kay?" Wow, yup believable. She thought to herself as she rushed up the stairs. Oh well, at least they bought it. With that, she transformed and zipped off her balcony. Making her way across the roofs towards the TV studio.
At about the same time, Adrien let out similar gasp. He had to get away from his bodyguard, and think up an excuse for when Nino notices his absence. After sneaking away to transform so many times he had become somewhat of an expert at excuses. So he could come up with the smartest reasons for leaving in the shortest amounts of time. "I need to go to the bathroom." He blurted before dashing away. Ok, so maybe it wasn't the best excuse, but it still worked. Soon enough Chat Noir strolled on set. Waving and winking at everyone he passed. Not long after, Ladybug too, burst through the doors, joining her partner in the camera's view. Now the show could truly begin.
Nino cracked his knuckles, sending a smile towards the superhero duo before starting up his music. Truth be told, the heroes really didn't try that hard to not dance. They only held out long enough for it to appear as if they were trying. Chat Noir glanced over towards his lady, catching her eye. She smiled at him and gave a small nod. With conformation, he smirked and started moving along to the beat. A half second later, Ladybug joined him.
"VICTORY!" Alec called out, smiling his huge smile. The music started to fade away and Chat Noir had an idea. Before the music stopped he quickly took his chance, grabbing Ladybug's hand and twirling her around. She let out a squeak in surprise but soon relaxed and began dancing along with Chat. Nino, noticing the situation, turned the music up once more and kept it playing. Watching as the two laughing superheroes danced themselves silly. Soon their movements become less graceful and precise. Soon they could no longer carry on and both collapsed on the ground in a heap of giggles. Everyone else in the room was quiet, shocked by the spectacle.
Once the two had calmed down, applause sounded throughout those in the studio. Standing up, Chat bent down to help up Ladybug, oblivious to the red tint her cheeks seemed to be turning. They both knew they had to get going soon, even without using their power the kwamis would still be tired. Chat turned to Ladybug, giving her a deep bow. "Until next time M'lady." He practically purred as he planted a kiss on her knuckles.
"Yeah, ok, bye kitty." She replied, adding an eye roll in for good measure. With that, they turned and left. Both calling out their congratulations to Nino over their shoulders.
One way or another Nino knew Alya would find a way to get this onto her blog.
