"Are we really going to have this discussion again?" Lindsay asked as she popped Batman Begins into the DVD player, "I sat through your Batman, now you have to sit through mine."
"I just don't get it, Michael Keaton's the original, he is Batman."
"Actually I believe Adam West originated the role, also Michael Keaton barely even acts the entire movie, he just kind of glares, and he is totally outshined by the Joker."
"Jack Nicholson was the Joker, no one outshines Jack."
"Christian Bale would," she argued, "Plus he can act, is in better shape and cuter than Michael Keaton. And he does that awesome Batman voice."
Danny glared, "I'm not sure how attractiveness defines the best Batman…and what voice?"
"Attractiveness is totally a factor. Batman's alter ego is a billionaire playboy, he needs to be attractive. That's to say nothing of the mystique that surrounds Batman, an attractive Batman. And the Batman voice is distinctive, Keaton sounds the same all movie, Bale changes his voice, it gets all growly and sexy." Lindsay shivered a little at the thought, and then pressed play, confident that she'd won the argument.
Danny grabbed the remote and stopped the movie, "No way are we watching a movie with a Batman so you can get all hot and bothered."
Lindsay grabbed the remote back, "I'm not all hot and bothered," she pressed play again.
Danny pouted next to her to the point that she started to feel bad. Slowly she inched over, laying her head on his shoulder as Bruce Wayne's parents were killed, "You know you've got a pretty sexy voice too."
She felt him go still, then cough, "Oh really," he said, just a hint lower than his normal voice.
"Hmm," she said, "Very."
"Sexy as Batman Bale," he said with clear sarcasm in his voice.
"Sexier," she said, leaning up to kiss him. He kissed her back, slowly leaning over her, his body sliding against hers, until she pushed him backwards.
He waited, confused until she smiled at him, "You're very sexy Mr. Messer, but I'm still making you watch this."
He groaned as the film continued and Lindsay watched with rapt attention.
Christian Bale really really sucked.
