Chapter 1: The beginning of the end
Elin's POV
I hear a piercing scream slice the air and my throat goes hoarse. I can see rivulets of sweat escaping from a broken body as I become hotter and wetter. I see a girls breathing become weaker and weaker; she begins to claw her throat, it's hard to tell if she's clinging on or hoping it will end soon... Her chest falls for the last time and my world goes black. 'How did I end up here?' is my last fleeting thought.
Ash's POV
I check the time once more '10minutes late...again' I sigh. If only Kierran could at least get to his training on time rather than hanging around the Fates palace, as much as I like Mina, Teague and Caelia I do wish he'd spend some time with his parents. Just as I prepare to leave the door bursts open to display a rather tired and bloody Kierran "Where have you-" I start.
"Elin" is all he says before hastily exiting again. I hadn't realised he even knew of the trespassing human girl but it seemed she was in danger. I quickly ran after my son to catch a glance of his fast vanishing back before going back inside to find his mother.
Charlie's POV
A scream shatters the palace and I turn quick on my heel. I swear if Teague's gone back to killing people I'll let him hear scream whether he's a fate and my sister's husband or not. It's been 18 years but I still don't trust him. Tearing through the corridors down to the cells I see Mina and Teague (so it's not him this time) just behind me but I get there first and let me tell you I did not expect to see this. I can tell when two of them catch up when I hear them gasp, hear the breathlessly utter on single word "Caelia"
