Hello people! I found this on my flash drive from when I had to do a writing exercise in my English class. We had to essentially write a character introduction from an existing character. Naturally, I chose Loki. Bit short, but someone may enjoy it. Please review and let me know your thoughts, may start a larger Avengers piece once my current works are done.

Loki's chambers were littered with scrolls and books in a state of organised chaos. Teetering piles of dusty tomes stretched towards the golden ceiling, while plates of half eaten food were dotted amidst the towers on any available surface.
Loki himself was stretched languidly on the neatly made, green bedspread upon his elegantly carved bed.
Glittering emerald eyes were focused intently on the book he held, although I could tell that he was watching my every move as I entered his territory, as intently as a coiled serpent.
As I advanced, skirting around a pile of books carefully, so as not to cause an avalanche and domino effect, I could see his posture becoming more defensive.
While he held himself in the same position, an undercurrent of tension flooded those slender limbs and a muscle twitched in his pale jaw.
Finally, he sighed in resignation upon seeing that the silent treatment had done nothing to impede my advance. Gracefully, he unfurled his limbs in one fluid movement until he sat cross-legged in the centre of his bed, long legs folded beneath him and slender hands loosely clasped in his lap.
He looked up at me with a quirked eyebrow, managing to convey annoyance, haughtiness and a strange look of fondness in that simple, slightly condescending gesture.
And then he spoke, in a smooth, cultured voice that could effortlessly convince a total stranger to walk on hot coals and broken glass for him. Skilfully twisting words to suit his needs and blend a lie with the truth so expertly that even he himself was fooled.
"What do you want now, brother?" sighed the Silvertongue, in his solitary lair of green and gold.
