1: The last man standing

The calm of the prison's grounds was suddenly interrupted by the crashing of the fence when the tank pushed through. The engine's motor sounded like a broken, sinister bell, breaking the silence to tell all who could hear that one passed away.

A herd of walkers stumbled in, some of them were already waiting to come in for weeks, their scrawny fingers sticking out from the fence's holes, but most had been freed from containers, brought directly from Woodbury. And here they came, already trying to gnaw at everyone's necks.

Some died during the first assault and those who survived tried to somehow contact the others, the cries of pain and grief tearing at everyone's minds.

The governor came out of tank from the top latch, a smug and victorious look on his face. He was calm and composed whereas the survivors were still shaking from the violence of the sudden attack, all covered in black blood and mud.

Rick's eyes searched the destroyed peace that once was the jail's backyard for his closest friends.

Daryl was near him, coming out of a grave hole where he was hidden, coughing out the dirt filling the air. They shared a tired, saddened glance.

From where he was, Rick could see T-Dog's body, the abdomen torn apart, his insides displayed for all to see in a disturbing and bloody mess.

And the man responsible for all this was here, standing in a conqueror's stance, on top of the tank, pointing each remaining survivor and shooting with a gruesome accuracy. One by one, the survivors fell, eyes wide, a bloody trail escaping the gapping hole in their heads.

Crying out in rage, the two men charged, more desperate than determined.

No more arrows, only a few rounds left in a low-range handgun.

After sharing a few shots, Rick fell in a heart-wrecking cry, and the fiend, from the top of his steely monster, tore into a manic laugh, only fueling the burning rage of the last one still attacking.

The only sounds breaking the silence were those of a bullet leaving it's chamber and a body falling heavily to the ground.

The Governor was dead.
