A lone two tailed fox sat in a alleyway. It was winter, snow was on the ground. He wrapped his twin tails around him. Busy shoppers rushed down the streets as they got ready for the holidays buying toys for their sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, even grandchildren. The poor fox had no one. Every year he had the same wish, that he could have a friend. "Hey",a voice broke his train of thought. The fox turned around. He saw a blue hedgehog wearing red and white shoes, white gloves, and a red scarf. "What are you doing out here all alone?", the blue hedgehog asked. "The orphanage I lived at closed down about 2 years ago, all the other kids got adopted except me.", the fox sighed, "I've been alone ever since". "Why?", the blue hedgehog asked. "Because they don't like me, I'm different", the young fox stood up and turned around showing him his two tails, "I have two tails see?", the fox said. "Really? I think they're cool". The fox looked surprised, "You do?" the fox said. "Yeah", the hedgehog said then thought for a moment, "How about you come live with me?" the blue hedgehog said."Really?" the fox responded. "Yeah whats your name ? Mine's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!", Sonic said. "M-miles Prower", Miles said. "Thats a nice name.", Sonic said. "I don't like it", Miles said. " Okay. I'll call you something else.", the hedgehog started thinking then he grinned. "I know, I'll call you Tails." Tails smiled and said, "I like it, Thanks Sonic." Then Sonic started to walk away. Tails stood there looking confused. /When Sonic noticed that Tails wasn't following he looked back and said, "Are you coming?", Then Tails snapped out of his confused trance and ran to catch up with Sonic who stood at the end of the alleyway waiting for him.
