So Much For The Costume
Spoilers- Just that Jimmy and Lois know Clark since he was a teen.
Disclaimer- I do not know these iconic characters. I would never even dream of trying to claim them.
Note- My first foray into the Superman/Smallville verse. Not very original, but it was something I couldn't get out of my head.

Clark floated through his lounge room window with a large grin on his face. It had worked. His first ever show-his-powers-in-public rescue went perfectly.
No one had screamed or ran away, and most importantly the costume worked exactly as planned. Not even Jimmy Olsen has recognized the amazing flying man as Clark Kent. Jimmy had happily snapped picture after picture, muttering about how the Chief just had to be pleased with him now. And Lois! Lois had looked at him with awe.
"It's about time you got home."
Clark spun around, his cape flaring behind him dramatically. 'Lois!"
Lois raised an eyebrow at him. "Where have you been, Clark? We've been waiting for you to get home."
"I-ah-"
Clark looked over Lois' shoulder to meet Chloe's eyes. Chloe pulled a face and shrugged.
Jimmy strolled out of the kitchen, a bottle of beer in hand. "Hey, C.K., nice job today; very dramatic. The Chief went nuts over the pictures. He even held the front page. By this time tomorrow everyone in America if going to be talking about Superman."
"Super man?" Clark asked weakly, finally landing with a thump.
"What? You've read Nietzsche," Lois defended.
"Chloe, did you-"
"I didn't tell them," Chloe interrupted. "They figured it out from the pictures. Lois actually told me."
"You got those glasses a little too late, Smallville," Lois said smugly. "The other reporters at the Planet are disgustingly oblivious though."
Clark looked from Chloe's anxious expression to Lois' impatiently smug one and then to Jimmy's grinning face.
"Oh," he lamely. "That's… good?"
"Yeah, it's great," Lois said, rolling her eyes. "Now hurry up and get changed out of that suit. We've got an article to write."
"What article?" Clark asked suspiciously.
"The first interview with Superman. You were going to give it to The Daily Planet, weren't' you?"
Chloe finally took pity on her poor friend. "Okay, Mad Dog, give the man a minute. You did ambush him."
Lois glared at her cousin. "I told you not to call me that."
Chloe merely grinned. "I know, but it's so apt."
Jimmy took a gulp of his beer and studied Clark critically. "I never would have thought you'd wear something like that, C.K."
Clark tugged at the collar of his new costume. "Mom suggested it. She said it drew attention away from my face."
Lois looked him over. "No kidding. But it's not exactly subtle is it?"
"Excuse me?"
"She means it doesn't leave much to the imagination."
Clark squirmed. The hungry look in Lois' eyes was starting to make him uncomfortable.
"Maybe I should go change," he stammered, backing away.
Lois blinked and the look was gone, replaced with the familiar 'this is going to get me a Kerth' look. "All right, but hurry. We need to come up with a good story."
"I don't think that's going to be a problem," Chloe said wryly.
"What?"
Clark scurried out of the room and, with a burst of super speed, changed into jeans and t-shirt.
It had been less than five hours and already Lois had caught him. But then, that really didn't surprise him.
Clark chuckled to himself. He should have known better than to try and fool Lois Lane.
