"Attention. Attention everyone. I have an announcement to make." Hermione's eyes scanned the room as stood making sure all eyes were on her. "Many of you have recently seen me spending a lot of time with a certain blond Slytherin. Well, I would just like to say…. Wait Draco could you please stand this involves you." Hermione waited as Draco slowly stood his eyes full of confusion.
"As I was saying, I would like to announce that I…" she paused for dramatic effect. "That I Hermione Granger fooled Draco Malfoy." Whispers ran through the Great Hall at a rapid speed. "I have made Draco believe that I am in love with him, and he in turn has fallen in love with me but for real."
A dropping of a pin could have been heard in the room as all turned to stare at Draco Malfoy to see his reaction. He stood perfectly still looking as if he had heard her accurately. "What do you mean fooled?" is all he could manage in his confused state.
"'What do I mean by fooled?'" she asked with a small laugh. "It means I don't love you. Never have never will." Her eyes darkening with dark humor. "I just decided that it would be nice if you finally got a taste of your own medicine after all you said it would never happen."
"What would never happen?" Draco asked in a menacing tone.
"You said and I quote 'I will never fall in love I don't need it.' Well it looks like you did" she stated simple.
"You're a bitch" Draco growled
"So, your just pissed cause I beat you at you own game"
"And what game might that be?"
"Like you don't know, Draco you used to brag about how many girls were in love with you, and how you would never love them." Hermione stated coldly. "Now you know how some of those girls of yours felt."
A tear finally escaped his shining eyes. "Well Granger, to quote that stupid movie you like so much 'Thank you for curing my ridiculous obsession of love."
"You're welcome Malfoy, glad I could help." And with that Hermione scoped up her bag a left the Great Hall. As she closed the door behind her Hermione let the tears she forced away to fall. 'It's better this way' she thought.
