Aaron Hotchner felt as if he was free fallin and he had no way to stop it. If he was being perfectly honest with himself he didn't want to stop himself. He knew that he had liked Emily for the longest time but he never once suspected that he would fall for her like he did. He shook his head as he thought about the fact that he was now a victim of love.

He looked at the extra key he had made for her. They had been the best of friends for the last year and now he hoped that she would understand what it meant when he gave her the key to his home. It also meant that not only was he giving her the key to his home but he was giving her the key to his heart. He just hoped that she would take it.

He looked at his watch and saw that it was time to make Emily pack up for the night. He smiled when he looked out his window and saw her looking up to his office. He chuckled when she saw him looking at her and she quickly looked back down at her desk. He started hoping right then that maybe she felt the same way about him that he did her. He picked up his stuff including the key and headed out of his office.

"Are you ready to go Emily?" Aaron asked as he reached her desk.

Emily looked up at Aaron and hoped that the blush she had felt on her cheeks when he caught her looking at him had faded away. "You go on Aaron I have some stuff I need to finish first."

Aaron shook his head. "No our deal was when one of us was finished the other one had to be too so that we could leave together. So come on Emily and let's go."

Emily sighed and shut down her computer before standing up. "Alright I'm ready."

Aaron decided that he needed to give her the key now before he chickened out. "Hold out your hand Emily."

Emily looked up at Aaron puzzled but did as he asked and then she felt him press something into her hand before closing her hand around it. She was even more puzzled as Aaron walked away from her towards the elevator. She opened up her hand and saw a key laying there. She was shocked to say the least because she knew that the only person who had a key to his house was Dave. She quickly grabbed her stuff and ran after Aaron.

Once in the elevator Emily asked "Does this mean what I think it means Aaron? If so then you need to be sure."

Aaron looked down at the woman standing beside him and smiled. "I'm one hundred percent sure Sweetheart. I only wanna be with you and only you. I love you Emily. I'm just so sorry that it took me this long to realize how I felt. Will you give me a chance?"

Emily gave Aaron her best smile. "For you I will give anything. I love you too Aaron. I'll stand by you through everything."

Aaron pulled Emily into his arms thankful for the first time that they had taken the cameras out of the elevators and kissed her with everything in him. He wanted to convey to her just how much he loved her. Once they broke the kiss they were both breathing hard. Even without speaking they both knew Emily's car would be staying here tonight and she would be going home with the man she loved more than her own life. They also both knew that it would be this way for the rest of their lives.
