A/N : I don't own Star trek, if I did I would be rich and things would sure be different.

"…nor do I wish to know you."

" …..nor do I wish to know you."

Ezri Dax stared at her former hosts husband. Worf.

He was breaking her heart. All she wanted was to be accepted by her friends. No, not HER friends. Jadzia's friends.

" Do you really think Jadzia would want me to be treated like this ?"

Ezri called out to Worf as the huge Klingon was walking away. Her words stopped the Klingon in his tracks. Bolstered by this, she carried on with her argument, walking down the corridor towards him.

" You don't have to call me your wife, but surely you can call me a friend. Is it that much to ask ?"

The Klingon was touched, but angry. He had sent his beloved's soul to Sto - Vo - Kor, then this this interloper comes and takes her place.

To add further insult, she had his wife's memories, even their most cherished and precious memories were not secret from this woman.

Ezri carried on, her face almost streaked with tears. " You don't want to know me ? Fine. I can live with that. I don't want to be your wife, not in the way….you know who was."

She looked at him with anguish. " You think you're the only one with problems ? I have problems of my own. I can't make up my own mind about what to eat or drink. I get space sick because one of my former hosts died in a shuttle accident."

Ezri looked at him grimly. " I can understand if you need your space. I do too. But, I want to try and get along. Its what Jadzia would've wanted. She would never have wanted her husband to treat me like a freak."

Ezri turned to leave when Worf turned around.

He no longer felt angry. In fact, he felt shame. She was right, his wife would want him to treat Ezri as a friend and look out for her.

Instead, he'd treated her like a pariah for no discernible reason.

Jadzia would be ashamed.

" Ezri," his deep bass voice rumbled, " I do wish to have my own space. I want to get used to you, to become your friend. You are right," he continued, looking at her, " Jadzia would want me to treat you with kindness. With honour. I am sorry."

Worf looked down and Ezri took his hand with no hesitation. Just like Jadzia.

" I am always there for you."
