Toadcup and Wolfcat
Faretheewell, oh Toad
Remus Lupin looked at the sky. It was clouded, with a distinctive lack of a full moon. This may have been due to the fact that he was in fourth- period Transfiguration, 'keeping an eye on' James and Sirius. Or at least, he'd been told by Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall to keep an eye on them but had become their lookout.
The whole school had ended up having to transfigure their own familiars for the year, because someone accidentally freed all the class animals and they got ...well, eaten... last full moon. Peter assured him that the majority of the animals had been previously eaten by a badly unTransfigured chicken, though this was hardly reassuring.
While the rest of the class practiced their wand movements, his friends were preoccupied with reversing Snape's spells. This backfired every lesson, mainly because Sirius could never resist Transfiguring "Snivellus'" nose into a rabbit's foot.
Remus performed a Switching Spell on his toad. Croak became clang, as the toad titled Trimethius became a gilded glowing goblet. Sirius spun around under McGonagall's gaze, nearly poking James' eye out. Remus lunged to save his cup... toad... gobletoad.
Unfortunately, his movement was hindered by the inconvenient desk, and he definitely didn't have James' Seeker reflexes; so his toadcup smashed.
I know it's really short, but please review!
