Currently a one shot. Still deciding if I should continue this or not. Just an idea that popped if Bella and Edward were friends since childhood. So should I continue it:)

"Taaaag! You're it!" A five year-old Edward Masen dashed off in front of the Swan's yard as he tagged a surprised Bella.

"Hey! Eddie! That's no fair!" A four-year old Bella yelled, trying to chase Edward, who sadly, was a very fast runner.

"Stop being such a slowpoke Bella!" Edward taunted Bella, his green eyes sparkling

"Will you stop running fast so I can tag you?"

"Haha! Nooo! Catch me Bella!" Edward ran to the backyard. Bella reluctantly went to chase after him.

"Just stop being so very very very fast Eddie!" Bella panted.

"But then I'll get tagged!" Edward said, still getting far away from Bella.

"But then I'll be it forever!" Bella retorted, she sat down on the grass with her arms crossed.

"Oh, come on Bella, stop being baby!" Edward teased.

"But I am a baby! You dodo!" Bella stuck her tongue out at Edward.

Edward just laughed at her and she laughed too.

She stood back up and started to chase Edward again. Edward, was still trying to get away from her.

"Kids! Cookies!" Mrs. Renee Swan yelled.

The two children grinned, looked at each other and both yelled "COOKIES!".

"Last one there is a rotten egg!" Edward said and made a dash to the door and Bella immediately followed.

When Bella reached her house, Edward was already sitting down while Auntie Elizabeth was wiping Edward's back with a towel.

"Cookie!" Bella cheered.

"No cookie until you changed Bells." Renee said.

"Alright mommy! Can I change now?" An excited Bella asked.

"Of course Bells" Renee grinned, as she went to retrieve her daughter's clothes.

"Auntie Lizzie…" Bella poked Elizabeth Masen, Edwards's mom.

"Yes, Bella?" Elizabeth asked, curiosity written in her face

"Can you please tell Edward not to run veryveryveryveryvery fast because I can't catch him and I'll be it forever?" Bella asked innocently.

"Well, Edward did you hear that?" Elizabeth asked Edward.

"Yes mommy, but I don't want to!" Edward pouted and crossed his arms.

"But I'm it forever!" Bella said

"You have to catch me!" Edward argued back.

"Will you let me catch you on my birthday?" Bella asked hopefully.

"Well…it is your birthday…so I guess so!" Edward said cheerfully.

"Yey! Mommy! Can I have my birthday tomorrow?" Bella called out to her mom.

"Honey, your birthday is not till next month!" Renee exclaimed as she began to change Bella's clothes.

"But mommy! I want my birthday to be tomorrow so Edward can let me tag him so I won't be it forever!" Bella reasoned.

"Well, Bells…we'll see about that." Renee answered with uncertainty.

"Yey! Thanks mommy!" Bella said cheerfully. "May we get some cookies now?" Renee nodded and the two children dashed into the table.

"Aunti Rennie! Your cookies are yummy!" Edward went to Renee and showed her as he ate the cookie.

"Haha, don't thank me. It's your mom." Renee laughed.

"Mom! The cookies are really really really really yummy!" Edward said very fast.

"Edward…what did I say?" Elizabeth asked in a scolding manner.

"Don't talk when your mouth is full, sorry mommy." Edward looked with remorse.

The two best friends played some more, until Elizabeth called Edward, saying that they were going home.

"Awww….bye Eddie.." Bella said sadly

"Bye Bells.." Edward waved at Bella.

"Promise me you'll be back tomorrow?" Bella asked hopefully.

"Promise." Edward said with finality and turned to leave.

But not before Bella ran towards Edward and gave him a hug.
