Hey miss me? Probably not huh xD
Anyways this is just a short poem, it's not from anyone's official point of view, but if it were I'd imagine it being in Robins. Because he can be dark like this sometimes. :D
Can you hear it?
Howling through the wind,
A wolves strangled cry.
The darkened whisperings,
As you ask yourself why.
It's in the slapping of your feet,
The blood roaring through your ears,
As you fight through,
Your deepest fears.
Can you see it?
Rushing all around,
It's pouring on the ground.
Nestled inside,
A bud now blooming.
As the red pours out,
Death is looming.
Can you feel it?
Resounding all around.
It's burning through,
This symphony of sound.
Clawing at your heart,
Running through your veins,
Lodge in your throat,
As you call their names.
Can you smell it?
Drifting from the smoke,
An unholy odor.
Rank like a sewer,
And you its holder.
Slipping through the cracks,
A fire's hungry smolder.
Rancid in;
The air grows colder.
Can you taste it?
Copper on your tongue,
Dripping into your soul.
Inky fingers reaching,
It's innocence they've stole.
In the back of your mouth,
In the middle of your screams,
Chilling your bones,
The flavor of your dreams.
It surrounds me like
A thousand needles.
They cannot taste it.
They cannot hear its chilling calls.
They cannot see its wide spread claws.
They don't understand,
This feeling that consumes me.
Perhaps you know.
Perhaps you've felt it.
Behind these haunting shadows,
Mayhap you've smelt it.
I'll say it once,
So I hope you run,
It's desperation,
Out for some fun.
And there we go! This just popped in my head as I was writing one of my other stories, and I couldn't help but type it up. The "They" in this story aren't the team, but all the civilians they constantly have to blend in with. If you didn't understand it, then read it again.
Oddly enough I am in a super happy mood right now; something my writing just refuses to reflect!
Anyways, please review and let me know how you think I did :/
Also should I make a sequel or something?
Or should I just get back to work on my other stories? xD
