Don't you just hate the zombie apocalypse?
My names Matt and I am now currently surviving during the first ever zombie apocalypse. It's not all it's cracked up to be, but I live and I help others. I come across them in my travels and I tell them of a place they can go. It is actually my underground compound. I'm one of those eccentric types that has that sort of thing BEFORE I need it. But I think it was pretty freaking awesome. I have weapons and ammo up the ying-yang. Food is also a non-issue. I have a ton of non-perishables back at my place. So why travel you ask? Well its because I'm trying to save a certain someone who I happen to have deep feelings for. This is my story.
Why? Why do I go and get myself into trouble each and every time. I have zombies on my tail and I'm running UP some stairs in a building. That's stupid enough. But when I'm hauling a little girl with me on my back, there is some hell that'll break loose. I had a black duffel bag with the strap wrapped around my chest and I was going to have to resort to violence. When I reached the floor I was currently running up to I knew I had to make a stand. I blockaded the door with a table I found in the first room I came to and started to proceed doing the same with the other doors. When I finished making my fort the zombies just about broke into the room. I pulled, from my duffel bag, two M9 handguns. I also pulled out a couple of clips… just in case.
The zombies ended up breaking into the room from the staircase about thirty seconds after I had my weapons ready and I fired into the mass of infected individuals. One after another they fell as I landed hit after hit into foreheads and chest areas. Once all the zombies were dead I asked the girl what her name was. At first glance when I was saving her I didn't notice that she was about my age. I came back to reality when she shook me and I really felt embarrassed about my daydreaming during a zombie apocalypse. I asked her to repeat what her name was and she told me it was Emily.
"Well that's quite a name you have there. How old are you? If you don't mind my asking."
"Well I'm nineteen, and you can ask anymore questions on the way out right?" Emily asked me.
"Right… Well how do you want to go? The fire escape seemed alright when we were running." Matt replied.
"Well I don't think that will work. It seemed rusted and a little broken from the outside." Emily said with a thoughtful face. "I think going down the way we came up is the best solution."
"Well let me bring out something with a little more firepower." Matt said.
"Yeah, you might need that. I can't do a thing against those things. Whenever I see one I freeze up and I can't do a thing. They freak me out horribly." Emily said with a worried look on her face.
"That's fine, I suppose I'll just have to protect you some more then right?" Matt asked Emily.
"Well alright then mister hero, lead the way." Emily responded, sarcasm heavy in her voice.
"Ok, follow me." Matt replied, hearing the sarcasm loud and clear. As soon as they started down the steps of the stairs Matt pulls out an MP5 and pulls out the stock. He places the stock against his shoulder and motions for Emily to follow him down the stairs.
"Ok, warn me when something comes up behind us." Matt tells Emily before digging into his pocket and bringing out an Ipod.
"You can't be serious. You won't be able to notice anything with those things in your ears you know." Emily whined with growing fear of his not being able to take care of the certain zombie horde coming after them.
"Oh, I am. This is what I do when I go zombie killing." Matt replied while chuckling under his breath. "Alright, be ready to help out."
