AUTHOR'S NOTE/DISCLAIMER

Companion piece to "Green Nightmares". Takes place after "King For A Day Pt 2". Power Rangers belongs to Haim Saban, Fox Kids, and Disney. I only own the plot. Reference to my fics "Those Nights" and "Green Nightmares" but you don't have to read them to understand this. There's also a reference to "Green With Evil Pt 5".

Jason Lee Scott's eyes clouded as he subtly checked on the sleeping form of his best friend, Tommy Oliver, who was at the desk next to him. Though he hadn't said anything, he knew that the nightmares hadn't faded. Tommy was still appearing at his window nightly, always visibly distraught. The Gold Ranger sighed and ran his fingers through his hair and then returned his attention to the teacher. Tanya Sloan looked at Tommy, and then to Adam Park.

"Should we wake him up?" she asked.

"No. Just let him be," he answered. Rocky DeSantos shared a look with Katherine Hillard.

"I'm worried about him," he admitted.

"Yeah, me too," she agreed. Then, a rustling made them turn in their chairs to see their leader starting to thrash in his seat. Jason got up and knelt down beside him.

"Easy, Bro. It's okay," he whispered.

"Mr. Scott, would you please take your seat?" the teacher requested, walking up to them.

"In a minute," was his response.

"Now, please," the teacher insisted. Then, he turned to Tommy in surprise when his thrashing intensified.

"Tommy! Tommy, hey!" Jason exclaimed, trying to steady him.

"Mr. Scott, will you please---" the teacher's sharp question was cut off by Jason putting his hand up.

"NOOOOO! JASON!" Tommy shouted, jerking awake. He turned to see Jason right beside him.

"Easy, Bro. I'm right here," Jason assured, taking Tommy's hand and placing it on his heart. Tommy panted "See, it's still tickin'," he told him.

"Oh, man. So real."

"What happened?"

"Beach."

"Oh, that old dream." Tommy shot Jason a half-annoyed look at his blasé tone. Then, slowly, he inched his hand away and then turned to the teacher.

"Sorry," he apologized.

"That must've been quite a nightmare," the man stated, his voice softening. He'd allow the slight interruption seeing how Mr. Scott had quickly defused it.

"Yeah, but I'm okay."

"If you're sure…"

"I'm sure." The teacher continued his lecture and the teens turned their attention back to him. Tommy caught Jason's eye.

"Thank you," he mouthed.

"No problem," the other boy mouthed back.
