I AM NOT IGNORING MY OTHER STORIES. I just need some inspiration, so I decided to just write this for now. This might be a bit messy, but it will mostly make sense later. At first, there's only going to be a few characters, but the rest of them (like the Black Panther, the Hulk, the twins, Thor, …) will come in later.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Avengers. (Is that how you do it? I always forgot to do them on my other stories)

Nick Fury sighed as he dragged his hand down his face. He was really getting to old for this. He went to go get a coffee, yawning a little as he went. He had spent all of last night going over the paperwork that would allow SHIELD to take in and train four teenage superheroes.

Fury grabbed his coffee and went back to the labs to watch over the brat that was currently blasting rock music as he tinkered away on another invention.

Why the hell had he agreed to train and provide a home to four teenage superheroes? (A/N: A majority of the characters will come in later, including Spider Man who will be a few years younger than the rest)

He again sighed. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Only one of the four kids have already arrived at the house. 19 year old Tony Stark.

Yeah, Director Nick Fury had become a babysitter for a (super) rich genius kid who didn't seem to understand the words shut up. The kid talked back more that Alex Rider, Percy Jackson, and Maximum Ride put together. And that was rather scary. (Yes, Nick Fury may be a little bit of a book nerd and fanboy at heart, but if you ever tell anyone that, you probably wouldn't ever live to see another day).

Honestly, he had never expected Tony Stark to be a freaking superhero. The kid had constantly been on the covers of every magazine, whether it was for graduating MIT at 17, arrests, underage drinking, his brilliance, or more recently for the death of his parents and him becoming Iron Man to defeat Obadiah Stane, his father's friend who was actually evil.

Yep. That's right. A 19 year old was freaking Iron Man.

Now how did this come to be?

Tony Stark's parents had died only a little before he turned 18. Then, he had been kidnapped before he could take over Stark Industries. He had been gone for about three months before being found surrounded in scraps of metal. Little is known of his time held captive, except that they had wanted to use him to build a weapon (despite his age, Tony Stark was expert when it came to weapons and other tech) and had shot him, making him need the arc reactor that now resided in his chest, and that he had somehow escaped. When he came back, he gained control of Stark Industries and held a press conference, telling everyone that he intended to shut down the Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing division immediately. Around that time, Agent Coulson had approached Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's young assistant and high school sweetheart (A/N: This is becoming less and less believable the more I write). Of course, people were shocked at the young Stark's announcement, and many thought that he was still a child. After that, basically stuff happened, Tony used his father's notes and prototype inventions to build a suit (no not a fancy tux, a metal red and gold one with repulsors that Fury wouldn't trust with his best agents, much less this snot nosed brat) and stopped Obadiah who turned out to be evil and the one who had him kidnapped, and was also building a suit. He and his little girlfriend/assistant were sent to the SHIELD infirmary where they stayed for a few weeks. SHIELD had then helped him find a way to save his life from palladium poisoning. Then, SHIELD had wanted to keep it all under wraps, but no, Stark just had to blurt it all out in front of everyone, and now Fury was stuck on babysitting duty. Granted, he would probably have to watch the kid anyway, but there would have been less paperwork involved. (A/N: I know that was quick, but I don't know this science stuff and I don't want to bore everyone to death with a detailed recount of the first Iron Man movie with a 19 year old Tony Stark).

Honestly, Fury felt bad for the kid, he did, but that didn't mean that he wanted to babysit him. That kid had gone through an unimaginable amount of trauma even though he was only 19. And Fury did hold a bit of respect for him. The kid was a freaking genius! But still, that brat drove him crazy. Not to mention that three others would come soon. Nick (again) sighed as he watched the kid tinker away at some little robot. Fury wasn't sure if he liked or hated the kid. Whenever the teen opened his mouth, it always seemed to be to say something rude or sarcastic. Agent Hill said is most likely a defense mechanism, but that didn't make it any less annoying.

Well maybe that other kid who was coming in tomorrow, Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America would help Tony. Apparently, the kid was some type of famous war hero, despite being a teenager, so he might be able to help Stark with the trauma. Maybe Stark just needed a friend.

Oh gods. The second teenage superhero was coming tomorrow. Another brat. And what's worse, Phil was probably going to fanboy all day. He was pretty sure Phil had Captain America trading cards, and was probably going to beg the poor kid to sign them.

"What have I gotten myself into?"

Director Nick Fury sighed and went to go get another cup of coffee. He could already feel another headache coming on.

Tada! I finished! And now I have a lot of homework to get back to…
