Her mother, Johanna, tried to keep a conversation going, but failed.
Dawn wore a black tank top, pink mini skirt that reached her mid-thigh, navy knee socks, pink boots, and a pink scarf. Also, a white toboggon with a pink half pokeball stitched on that was placed neatly on her shoulder length navy blue hair.
Then, the door bell rang.
"I got it!" Dawn exclaimed as she jumped up and ran to the door.
She swung it open to reveal a teenage boy. He had chestnut hair. His bangs zigzagged across his forehead and the hair on the back of his head was spiked. He wore a green and white long sleeved shirt with a lighter green tee-shirt underneathe, brown khaki pants, and green sneakers.
"Hey, Kenny!" Dawn said happily.
"Hey." Kenny said smiling.
"Wanna come in?" Dawn asked her childhood best friend.
"No, thanks. I just- uh, just wanted to give you this." Kenny took his hand out from behind his back to show a red flower.
Dawn blushed and took it.
"Red salvia. Thank you." Dawn put one hand on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.
"Well- uh, I should- I should go now. B-Bye." He stammered.
He walked backwards and alsmost fell off the porch. He waved good bye one more time as Dawn shut the door slowly.
She sat down on the couch and asked her mother, "You think Kenny knows what red salvia means?"
"Why?"
"Because he just gave me one."
"Then he probably doesn't."
Meanwhile, Kenny walked into his kitchen as his mother, Katie, asked, "Where were you?"
"I gave Dawn a flower." Kenny answered.
"What kind?" Katie questioned.
"She said it was red salvia. She also blushed and continued, "Kissed my cheek."
Katie burst out in laughter.
"What?" Kenny said, his eye brows creased.
Katie wiped her eyes and stopped laughing.
"Do you know what red salvia means?" She asked.
"No, what?" Kenny answered.
"Ir means, 'Forever mine!'"
"WHAT?!?!" Kenny screamed.
Just then there was a knock on the door.
Kenny answered it.
It was Dawn.
"I know you just saw me but, I uh, wanted to ask you-" Kenny cut her off.
"If I knew what it meant? Yeah, my mom just told me," He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously as he said, "Sorry."
Then, Dawn wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him, accidently knocking him over.
She landed on his stomach.
Kenny awkwardly hugged back.
Dawn held herself up with out stretched arms that were on the ground on either side of his head.
"Uh Dawn? What are you doing?" Kenny asked as she kissed the corners of his mouth.
"Congratulating you." Dawn answered.
"Uhhhhh... why?"
"Because I'm forever yours. I Love You." Dawn replied smiling.
"Really? Woah, I Love You, Too." Kenny said as he ilifted his head towards hers.
Dawn crashed her lips into his.
They heard someone gasp. Then another gasp.
They separated and saw Katie and Johanna staring at them, white as ghosts.
They immediatly stood up.
"How cute! Yet disturbing..." Johanna said.
"You know that forever is a long time, right?" Katie asked.
"Oh yeah." Dawn said as Kenny put his arms around her waist and pulled her into him.
She put her hands and head on his chest as he said, "We know."
